Great fast food burger joint. Good shakes with lots of flavors. The grilled cheese sandwich is oddly satisfying and great for a lighter apitite. This is one of the rare few places that knows how to cook a crinkle French fry so that the inside is also cooked.

I absolutely love Gene's! The food is consistently fantastic, and the staff is amazing! It's rare to find teenagers who are so friendly and polite. Everyone is wonderful! We've never had a bad experience or meal here. You definitely should eat here; you won't regret it!

Absolutely love this place! Everything is delicious as ever. The new owner puts all the heart and love into the food just like the previous owner. They serve the best burgers! I also tried their fries, and they were fantastic. I ordered a chicken strip basket, and it truly exceeded my expectations—it was the best! Their cheeseburgers are incredible as well. I added bacon to mine, and it was a game changer—like a BLT but with a burger patty. Absolutely delicious!

I ordered the most disappointing BLT I've ever had. It came with just one small slice of tomato and two pieces of bacon, all served on an upside-down hamburger bun. That's definitely not a proper BLT. A true BLT should be made with regular toasted bread and more substantial ingredients. Either fix it or take it off the menu.

Gene's Stop and Go is the best place for burgers, fries and ice cream. They even have Dole Whip my favorite. Not only is the food great but they are a positive part of the community with games for the kids to check out and even a place to put air in your bike tires. No place beats Gene's. We don't head into the harbor ofter but when we do we always try to stop and get shake for the kids. Then we go to the beach.... See what I did there we STOP and then GO??? To top it off typically we wait JEANS But let's be honest the owners of this place have been friends of ours for years, they even attended our wedding. Its easy for us to recommend them not just because they serve good food but because they are good people. SO if you want to eat good food and support small town business stop here and treat yourself.

After hearing so many positive reviews, I decided to try Gene's. It was a busy Saturday and I ended up waiting 30 minutes for my bacon cheeseburger and tater tots. I noticed many patrons had called in their orders ahead of time, which likely contributed to my wait. I’ll make sure to do that next time. The price was reasonable at $13, but I wasn’t thrilled with the burger itself—it was quite salty. The portion size was generous, though; I probably wouldn't have been able to finish it even if I wanted to. I plan on giving this place another shot in the future.

Every time we go, food and service are amazing! From the tastiest burgers to the crispy outside, soft inside fries, to the sauce, ah lawd, the sauce!! You can even get a combined 1/2 1/2 tots and fries so if you want some of each but not 2 full orders. I mean, what's not to love about this Monte icon?! Always something to play or an activity the summer too! Like cornhole, or drawing with chalk, hands down, this is THE stop to make when in town or just passing through from Oly to the beach!
