"Soft Ice Cream is truly the best in the area. On my trip from Margaretville to Oneonta, I tried three different soft serve cones. The one from Grand Gorge went straight into the trash after just two bites; it wasn't cold and didn't even taste like ice cream. Stamford's offering was just as disappointing. I'm determined to find something better! However, The Golden Guernsey is fantastic! It’s real ice cream, not just filled with chemicals!"

Golden Guernsey is my favorite ice cream shop in Oneonta. Since I generally prefer soft ice cream and that is what they do best they are my number one choice. They also have really good food and have daily specials throughout the week. Check out their Facebook to see their specials.

Classic ice cream place with plenty of options and fried food. I had no idea what a corn nugget was at first, but they were well worth the price. Burger was good as well. They have other frozen treats besides ice cream, including frozen cheesecake, ice cream sandwiches, and bananas. If you're in Oneonta, stop by!
