"Yikes! This place is the worst Chinese food ever. The food comes out and looks ok but it 's just freezer food put in a fryer and it comes out dry and tasteless. We went here for our Chinese food on Christmas day tradition but the fried wonton was the only item that seemed prepped within the past 36 hours. The photos look good but we gave all the many leftovers to someone who tossed them after tasting them. Even the egg drop soup is strange and a combo of chicken noodle and egg drop. They even have the take out styrofoam just placed behind seats so you can already load it up without talking to anyone. Other reviews said the women were rude, I didn 't experience that. But definitely avoid. Terrible! Every bite was so disappointing and you just go well I need to fill my stomach, even if it 's dry and tasteless. Places like this cannot exist. Do not give them more money. Let them be replaced with restaurants that use good quality ingredients!"

The food was pretty good. Not greasy, the ham fried rice needed something more... I had to drop off a star due to the fact of how cluttered and worn the place looked. This place really needs a make over.

The staff at this restaurant were incredibly friendly, making it a perfect spot for families. I particularly enjoyed the egg rolls and broccoli beef. I suggest stepping outside your comfort zone and trying a variety of dishes.

This is my family's favorite spot for Chinese cuisine. We love ordering from the lunch menu, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. The service was exceptional, making our experience even better. I highly recommend Golden Tree!

If you want cheap Chinese food that takes you back to the early/mid 90s, this is the place for you. Our server didn't understand us much. The oolong tea was great. Prices were good, but quality of the food reflected. Not the best, far from the worst. View menu

We discovered this restaurant a few years ago and absolutely love it! The sweet and sour dishes are delicious, and their orange sauce is fantastic! We also enjoy the pork chow mein and the ham fried rice. I agree with some reviewers that the soup isn’t very good, so I simply choose not to order it. However, everything is made fresh, and the staff is charming.

Wow, what a lunch! My brother has been eating at the Golden Tree Café for 30 years, he says it is one of his favorite places to go for lunch. If you have lived in the Salt Lake area for many, many years and remember places like South Seas and Kowloon, this place reminds me of those restaurants, only better. It could use an update to the decor, but the food is the star, it is tasty, hot and plentiful. The Chicken Chow Mein was the best I’ve had in a long, long time. The Egg Foo Young really hit the spot, it has a wonderful gravy and just really great consistency and texture.
