"I called early to order a very special bottle of Chardonnay and asked to have it at the table on ice when we arrived. I paid for it, and I tipped 20%. It was my mistake to tap in advance. The wine wasn't there when we sat down, and I thought he was coming. When the server came to take our drinks orders, I knew that the prepaid wine was forgotten. I tried to whisper the server that we were SUPPOSED to keep a bottle waiting for us. After some time she brought it out, and it didn't seem to cool. AT ALL. She poured it without saying it was room temp. The four of us had to put ice cubes from our water glasses in our wine, which is not the way you want to enjoy a $60 bottle of wine. My fish, like the wine, was lukewarm. The service was a real comedown from the extraordinary service we had in Lula Drake the night before. I visited dear friends I had not seen in a few years and chose not to ruin our dinner by asking for a manager. Anyway, the manager/owner? knew about the wine situation and gave a quick excuse... but he didn't make sure our wine was actually cooled. An enormous disappointment at this price."
