I visited for a weekend to attend my niece's wedding and had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were comfortable, and the grounds were beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was also delightful. Overall, I would rate the rooms, service, and location all as 5 out of 5.

During the massage, it was more like gentle rubbing rather than the deep pressure I expected. When I asked the masseuse to apply more pressure, she agreed, but then it became overly aggressive and uncomfortable. At one point, I considered leaving in the middle of it. The massage ended very abruptly; the masseuse just thanked me and walked out. I've never left a spa feeling more stressed. View menu

I hosted a business event at this venue, and it was simply fantastic. The location and the venue itself are truly beautiful. I would love to come back for a personal visit and an overnight stay. The views of the river are exceptional. Overall, the service deserves a 5, and the location also rates a 5. Highlights of the hotel include its wonderful views, romantic atmosphere, and peaceful ambiance.

Accommodations: Every room is beautifully appointed. The bridal party used the River Knoll house to prepare for the wedding, while the groomsmen were at Pony's Pad. We stayed in the Grand Laurel, which was simply gorgeous. Nearby activities: There’s so much to explore in the area! Wineries, hiking trails, and the beautiful grounds themselves are all great options. Food and drinks: Breakfasts were delicious, and the bartenders at our events were incredibly friendly, crafting excellent cocktails. Our rehearsal dinner was also a highlight—it was truly wonderful!

The inn has potential with a great location, but the grounds and the buildings speak of benign neglect, and there are no typical inn amenities or services. Check-in was bizarre with a requirement to sign off on a list of disclaimers. Our eclectic lodging had sparse amenities with broken light bulbs, broken blinds, inoperable electrical outlets, and out-of- order appliances. We were there for an event. Outside, the inn provided water and lemonade, but ran out of cups. A request for additional cups was ignored. A guest found a box of cups in the woods. Beautiful grounds with a farm. The inn itself is cozy and well kept. It is updated and modern but still captures the more rustic/old appeal. We had a lovely time walking around on the property. Breakfast was fresh and well cooked. Service was wonderful. There is a little buffet with breads, fruit salad, granola, baked pastry of the day, and hard boiled eggs. Hot food is cooked to order from the menu of the day. They have afternoon tea with baked goods every day. Room was well decorated and clean with the old time feel. Stye in my eye after facial. This review is for the spa only, as I have not been to the resort and cannot speak to that. I have been to buttermilk spa a few times over the years. The past two times I’ve gone it’s just gone more downhill. They are still talking about Covid in regards to why their services are all 10 minutes shorter but the prices are still the same. You are a spa shouldn’t you always have been sanitizing rooms between clients? My most recent facial I woke up the next day with a stye in my eye. Disturbing to say the least. I recently visited Buttermilk Falls Inn Spa for a two night stay. The inn is a very old home converted into a bed and breakfast style experience. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself was disappointing from what I expected as far as size and privacy. The room and inn were very clean though. The hot breakfast service and food were definitely the highlights. The hot breakfast was delicious and service was outstanding. There is a buffet available with toast and cereal as well for breakfast but we opted for the hot breakfast both mornings.
