"For an appetizer, I was advised to try the fried Brussels sprouts, but shortly after ordering, the waiter returned to inform me that they were out of Brussels sprouts. As for the fried chicken, I was surprised to find it was actually a chicken breast smothered in gravy, rather than the whole fried chicken I had expected. While the portion size was generous, it was unfortunately very salty, which detracted from the overall experience. My wife ordered the same dish and also found it overly salty. The service was decent; the waiter was friendly but appeared to be new to the restaurant. Overall, it was a fairly average experience, and I wouldn't particularly recommend this place."

Service was spectacular! Our waitress overheard we were quietly celebrating a birthday and brought out two complimentary pieces of cake.

After several disappoints meals with poor service this summer, our most recent visit was very good. The pizza was excellent and the service good.

The atmosphere was great. I had the shepard's pie, and it was fantastic. The service was impeccable, and the owner even stopped at our table to see how the food was. I highly recommend it. View menu

Not fancy but the food can be pretty good and it's decent value for the money. We dined inside where the ambience is not terrific. The heated in season covered patio seems quite pleasant but we didn't want to chance it on a hot night. A plus was the service which was prompt (on a slow night) and courteous.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for brunch on Sunday. Since we arrived right when it opened, we were the only customers at the time. I ordered the appetizer fries with jam, and they were AMAZING. For my main course, I had the risotto, which was a bit heavy on the bacon, but overall it was very good.

Sorry, but this appears to be more of a pizza and burger place than a true English Pub. The Bangers and Mash were not very tasty, especially the Bangers (fatty and not good quality). Tried the chicken and it was two strip like patties that were so well done I could barely chew them. Service was ok and nice selection of beers available. Just not what we expected and certainly not true Pub food. View menu

Great looking restaurant with nice layout and décor, but nothing else to rave about. Some of the food items (Shepherds Pie, Half-Chicken, Yorkshire Pudding) were tasty, but the rest were below average at best. And the salads did not make it out until after dinner! Bar service was also a poor standard with drinks ordered at the same but arriving sporadically, and martini sent back twice! Staff was very apologetic and sent us home with a free bottle of red wine, but unfortunately we wont be back...

We were visiting from out of town and decided to try Hogarth's on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was quite empty, with only one other table occupied. My husband ordered the meatloaf, which he found enjoyable, although the gravy was quite salty. I ordered what was labeled as Yorkshire Pudding, but it turned out to be more like a beef stew with a piece of Yorkshire pudding on top. The beef gravy was flavorful, but the carrots were undercooked, and there were no potatoes as advertised. I would recommend skipping the Yorkshire Pudding.
