"This is the restaurant I take my wife to every anniversary. They even have my profile on file and know our favorite table. The atmosphere is always exceptional, and the service is outstanding. The manager makes it a point to check in on us during each visit to ensure everything is perfect. In my opinion, Hondos ranks among the top five steak restaurants in Richmond. I particularly love the scallops, the basil vinaigrette dressing on the salad, and they also serve baked potatoes. Personally, I believe the best steakhouses should always offer a baked potato, even if you don’t choose it as a side—it’s like a burger place not serving fries! Ailor consistently takes excellent care of us, year after year. This is a fantastic spot for an intimate dinner or a special occasion."

I had my first dining experience at Hondos, and it was fantastic. The service was exceptional—our server, Morgan, was truly the best! The food was delicious. I've included photos of the Bourbon Pecan Brie, Steak Hondo, and Key Lime Pie.

Excellent wait staff. Lovely ambiance. Food was tasty. There was an issue with my blackened tuna sandwich which was quickly corrected and the management went above and beyond by comping my meal. This restaurant is consistently an excellent choice for lunch or dinner.

Everything was excellent. The server Nick was personable and attentive. The atmosphere was up scale but with a casual feel. The food was perfect. Steaks cooked to each person's desired temperature and were tender and full flavored. We all four got the filet mignon. Great dining experience.

The food quality has gone downhill. The steaks were okay but much of the other food was mediocre. Scallop appetizer was just crusted in pepper with little other flavor and the scallops did not seem of great quality. Sides were so so. Service was good. Salt shakers need to be checked, they don't work, second time i've been in and the salt was stuck, if you put uncooked rice grains in they will absorb the humidity The waiters start out great, but then abandoned the table for too long. It's very hard to beat Hondos for any occasion. We were sent an email to celebrate our anniversary with them, so we did. My wife and I had a wonderful evening. The food was amazing! Service is always the best of the best. If you have a special event or occasion, Hondos is a must. They even have great lunch specials. If you haven't tried them, don't hesitate.
