The catfish is amazing! And the pecan pie is delicious. But next time, I'll just get the fish and make my own sides at home. I didn't see mac n cheese on the menu. That would have gotten my visit to 5 stars.

Always good. We've been eating here for 30 years and will continue to enjoy the food. We go for the all you can eat catfish and usually make it a family affair. It doesn't open until 4pm and if you go on a weekend, go early, it gets crowded.

Had all you can eat Catfish, includes salad bar, and 2 kinds of hush puppies. Excellent! I order the fresh catfish, it's between that, or farm raised. I prefer the fresh water Catfish. There are other dishes too, not just fish. Chicken Fingers,Half a chicken breast. Price is good also. Mine was $25.00 ALL You Can Eat.

I agree with Cecil Moore's review. They removed salad bar. No more Seniors Menu. All you can eat only on Monday and Tuesday. Two catfish cost $22. Staff is very rude. We walked out before ordering, so I don't know if they've ruined the food, but I'll take Cecil's word on it. We've enjoyed Hush Puppy for 30 years but will not be returning. It's a crying shame. This is a very nice local restaurant. A very down home environment. The servers are attentive. The food is good but almost everything is fried. Don't choose if you are looking for a bit more of a healthy diet. The day we were there the air conditionerwas so cold that the food did not stay warm longer than a few minutes and we pretty much froze to death because we had neverbeen there before and did not take any jackets with us. Mentioned the temperature to some of the workers but there was noresponse.

I've been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years whenever I'm in Las Vegas. They serve the best fried catfish I've ever had—truly comfort food at its finest. I appreciate that they offer an all-you-can-eat option. It's great to see that the place hasn't changed much over the years. However, I was disappointed to find that they removed the salad bar, presumably due to Covid. I really hope they bring it back in the future. While it's not the cheapest option around, I believe it's well worth the price.

The hushpuppies tasted as if they were reheated in a microwave. They were greasy and tough. The salad was a little wilted, and the tomatoes were diced. I’m disappointment there is no longer a salad bar with the famous cole slaw. We waited at our table for 45 minute for the first plate of the all you can eat shrimp. The French fries were soggy and dry, definitely not crispy. The second basket of shrimp came out 10 minutes later, thank goodness for that timing. The Mac and cheese was tasteless and the noodles were hard. My son had the clam chowder and he liked it. Overall, it was disappointing. I won’t be back. View menu

I just had dinner at this restaurant tonight, and I must say, it was immaculate. We were warmly welcomed and seated right away. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered a variety of dishes from soup to dessert, and everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The salad was cold, crisp, and fresh; the hush puppies were delicious; the clam chowder was incredibly flavorful, and the Louisiana soup was tasty as well. The fried shrimp was spot on! To top it all off, we ended our wonderful meal with a slice of pecan pie. I highly recommend this place, especially since it was our first visit.

The discomfort continued when I reached the window. All the signs urged drivers to “Drive Off!” after paying, yet when I asked for an itemized receipt, I had to wait an additional 5 minutes. Then, I was instructed to pull out of the drive-thru and park on the side. It clicked then why she had asked for my name when I ordered. After a total of 14 minutes, I continued to wait while only one car moved during the 30 minutes I spent there. Eventually, I called out to the guy delivering food to a car behind me and discovered he had my order. He was returning it to the kitchen because the bag was torn, but fortunately, the food was still piping hot. I tipped the guy who brought my food to my car....

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
