"I loved the restaurant's decor, and the owner greeted me with a warm smile! I ordered a loco moco, a mini katsu, and a side of spam musubi with an egg. Everything was delicious! The potato macaroni salad was a bit too heavy on the dill and celery for my taste, but it was still good. My favorite dish was the musubi. I used to dislike spam, but I've developed a new appreciation for it as I've gotten older. Additionally, while I was there, I witnessed the owner welcoming a customer who came in looking for a job. He told the guy it was his lucky day and offered him a position starting the next morning! I really admire the support he provides to the community. If you're in the area, be sure to visit and enjoy the tasty food he has to offer! I just wish it stayed open later since you have to get there by 5 PM!"

Everyone is ohana when you enter Imua! Amazing aloha vibes and ono grinds! Mahalo Junior and crew! Kahlua pork is great as is the macaroni salad and poke bowls. 5* and we'll be back.

The Pork Sandwich is incredible! It's my favorite dish at Imua. The pork is tender and packed with flavor, the cheese is perfectly melted, and the pineapple and arugula bring a wonderful freshness to the mix. Everything works together harmoniously in terms of flavor. I highly recommend it!

The rice was excellent, and the macaroni salad was decent. Unfortunately, the teriyaki sauce was a bit disappointing and could use improvement. However, the cabbage bed and the seasoning were beautifully presented. Overall, it was a solid traditional Hawaiian plate lunch. I’d rate it an 808 out of 10! View menu

My new favorite restaurant! The Loco Moco was the best I've had since visiting the Big Island. The burger was seasoned perfectly, and the gravy was fresh and delicious. The rice was cooked just right—not too sticky, but with a nice texture. The egg was also cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place!

The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable and the food is lovely. The macaroni salad wasn't for me, but the person I was with who doesn't hate mayo like burning says it was delicious so do with that what you will. The teriyaki beef was tender and flavourful enough that I would confidently recommend it to anybody.Pop in if you want yummy food and good air conditioning (if you've been to The Valley you know *exactly* what I mean).

"We were 3 couples together for a pre theatre dinner seated in a smaller room off the bar area. As our meal went on, a party of at least 12, a party of 3 and a party of 2 were also seated in this room. The party of 12 were celebrating a birthday, I believe, and became outrageously loud. We could not hear our own conversations, so a gentleman in our party went over and politely asked if they could keep it down. He was followed by the gentleman in the party of 3 asking the the same thing. The large party was a bit snarky in their reply, but did keep it down a bit, although it was still too loud. We do not blame the large party they have a right to celebrate loudly and we have a right to have a quieter dining experience. The restaurant should have seated us (and the other smaller parties elsewhere and allowed the large party to have the room. I know for a fact that the 2 couples with us will never return to Fishbones, nor will they recommend it to their friends because of this incident. It was the first time at the restaurant for both and both eat out very frequently. Four of us had the Duck Confit which was good, however, a bit too smokey without balancing that flavor. The Lobster with Pea Ravioli was better. On a positive note, the Salmon was fabulous as was the bread basket mixture, the oysters and the salads (although, the burrata and tomato salad should have been served at room temperature not cold! . Our waitress was terrific!"
