"Eagle River location. Horrible service. Expect to be nickle and dimed. I ordered the chimichanga, pictured below, it was pretty decent with the exception of the queso side. A few flakes of shredded cheese vs queso. When I asked if they would actually put cheese on it they brought out a small cup of cheese AND THEN charged me $2.99 for what should have already been on top of my meal. Waitress seemed to not want to be bothered with refilling our water glasses, etc. Pro tip to the owners if they even read these reviews chips and salsa is a nice, expected touch from a Mexican restaurant but serving them with a church sized communion cup of salsa not so much. Stop being so cheap. I have to imagine the average patron spends $20 to $25 per person. With that provide better service, stop being so cheap on the extras, and drive some quality control from the meals your kitchen staff is sending to the tables. With that you might win my business back. As of now and without some major improvement the most recent $65 I spent last Sunday for me and my wife will be my last. One more thing and this probably isn 't your issue BUT having ONE handicapped spot in the entire complex is a joke."

Taco Salat was soggy and the service was bad. The food was overpriced given the quality of quantity.

Another great visit to this location. Staff is attentive, food was amazing, environment and cleanliness were great. Will definitely recommend and be back again.

I had another wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff was attentive, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere and cleanliness were excellent. I will definitely recommend it and look forward to returning.

We ordered food for online delivery. After waiting an hour, we called to confirm that our order had been received. We were told that the food was ready and would be delivered shortly. Unfortunately, it took another hour for the food to arrive, and when it did, everything was cold. This isn't the first time they've messed up our order, but it's definitely the worst experience we've had. View menu

? Amazing place. Here is one of our fav places in our Alaska trip. Price and quality balance is perfect. They bring nachos right after you arrived. I love these kind of small things in restaurants. We got Fajitas. I highly recommend to taste it. Also comes with rice, beans, salad, sour cream and tortillas. You can ask for less not to waste them because there are 4 of them. The lady was so welcoming and geniune. Lovely place. ?

The owner made me a steak burrito for lunch today and it may have been THE BEST burrito that I have had up in Alaska. The rice in it was good and the meat was seasoned very nicely. I have had burritos other places and they were kind of flavorless compared to Jalepenos. If you see him call him Mr. AMAZING I have made it a point to head out there one night soon for dinner to try out some more of there items on the menu. 08/24/2021 lunch is served. Enjoy the photos

Two out of our three orders were incorrect, which was frustrating, but we would have overlooked that if the food had been good. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The carne asada was dry and tasted like over-seasoned rubber, while the tortilla soup was a soggy mess of slimy tortilla strips in broth. I couldn't bring myself to eat it. We also ordered drinks, but the first round took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. I understand delays when the restaurant is busy, but there were hardly any customers in the place. We ordered another margarita while still waiting for our food, and after 30 minutes, we decided to cancel our order and ask for the check. I'm sorry, Jalapeños, but we won't be returning. View menu

Ok just to set the facts I'm kind of a picky eater. I ordered the Amazing Tacos Mini grilled asada tacos with chorizo! $17.50 There are 5 small tacos and I ordered rice on the side. The rice was fantastic probably the best I've had at a Mexican reasturant since I can't remember when. The chorizo was not my favorite at all I didn't like the flavor and was a little greasy for me. I ate them but I should stick with plain beef tacos. The service was great but thought the food took a little longer than it should have. Then again we do have a lot of people not wanting to work so good on the ones that do work there. The rest of the family had no complaints about their meals. I would give 41/2 stars...

We have been coming here for years and it was always excellent. Sadly over the last 6 months it?s gone downhill fast. Thought at first it was all the staffing changes and really wanted to keep giving it a chance but last night was our 3rd and final chanceand Jalapeños failed miserably. 2 of our 3 orders were wrong, annoying but willing to overlook if food is good, unfortunatelyit wasn?t. The carne asada was dry and tasted like peppered jerky, the tortilla soup was a soggy mess of slimy tortilla stripsand broth. Didn?t eat either dish. Drinks were ordered and took almost 20 minutes for the first round, understandable if busybut there was hardly anyone there. Ordered another margarita while wa...

"Well! I wish I had taken more pictures at this place but it was the first time I 'd encountered a schooner of beer outside of the Pacific Northwest. It distracted me from taking any further photos at this remarkable establishment. I can 't talk highly enough about this pizza joint. It 's conveniently located right off the Glenn Hwy and easy to get to and then back on the road again. I loved the quirky layout of the building and the obvious expanse that has taken place as the place has grown. As an out of towner or tourist it was a treat to walk in and start looking at historical local Alaskan memorabilia. I got the sense that there was a lot of nostalgia and pride in the support of the local community. It gave off a super family friendly and welcoming air as we were escorted to our table. Marlis was our server and she was so friendly, honest and helpful. She was more than accepting as I worked my way through 96 oz of beer. Let 's talk more about beer. Being from the PNW I 'm used to a Schooner being significantly smaller than the Mystery Schooner Marlis brought me. It was a massively chilled 32oz bowl of Pizza Man Pale Ale to start with. 32oz! For $6! And it isn 't even a Coor 's, Bud Light, Miller Light, Rainier type of beer joint. They must have had close to 30 beers on tap and regular Schooners were only $8.75! For any beer on the menu! None of this PNW different prices for different beers. It blew my mind. And the food was really great! Beyond expectations. Chicken wings, cheese sticks, steak sandwiches, egg plant parmesan and of course PIZZA were all great. Their menu could work a little harder on identifying gluten free and vegetarian options as there aren 't any markings in the menu. The menu itself is exhaustive and unexpected in it 's offerings. I suspect you can go back every other day for a month sharing plates and not quite get through the whole thing. You gotta go. Make the drive, flight or float to get to Eagle River and experience the Pizza Man. Local treasure outside of Anchorage and worth the trip across the board. Say, Hi to Marlis for me and throw back a Schoon (or 3, if you 're not driving)."
