"I was really excited that this moved to University Place as I have been to the old one on 6th Ave and it was great! Unfortunately, the food was terrible. The sauce on my orange tofu was watery and like a soup in the bottom of the plate, I asked to have it remade but when it was it was the same. She admitted that they made it again using the exact same sauce. I ended up just getting a refund. My daughter had tofu yakisoba, which wasn’t stir fried, and had no flavor. The tofu was just fried in the fryer, there was no cornstarch or breading on it. I am hoping they are just having issues hiring cooks but it was very disappointing."

Excellent establishment and food! I've ordered ubereats through Joy Teriyaki and it's been fantastic so far! Fried rice is freshly made and generous portions.

I ordered the spicy chicken which was made different than the last order I had. I also had the teriyaki beef which is should be named teriyaki fat, it was awful. Won't be eating here anymore.

Should have read most recent reviews. We did take out mix of Spicy and regular chicken teriyaki, paid extra for friend rice but barely got any rice. No veggies or salad as noted. Quite a disappointment when you pay $20+ for teriyaki. I hope the new owners listen to all reviewers

Joy's Teriyaki was nothing really special. The food was decent, but the portions could definitely be bigger for the price. While it wasn't bad, there wasn't anything that stood out to make me want to go back. If you're looking for a quick teriyaki fix, it's okay, but don't expect anything beyond the basics. View menu

Was expecting to be able to share this meal however there was only enough for one because the cooks put burnt broccoli pieces under both meat options ? rice was mushy and slimy and I didn't get any veggies other than what was in the fried rice I paid $2 extra for. Very disappointed with the quality for the price this was over $20 Parking: Parking is minimal especially on weekends

Mixed emotions. The food TASTES good. But the first time I got it, it absolutely tore up my stomach the next morning. And that never happens to me. And the second time I got it, I found 4 pieces of meat (presumably from the grill) mixed in with my veggie/tofu stir fry. I'm vegetarian so, this is problematic. I'm not picky about the grill being shared, BUT if someone orders tofu and veggies, maybe make sure there aren't actual pieces of meat in it.
