My rating is 3.5 stars. Everything was okay, to include service, setting, and food. No one in our group had breakfast foods so I am unsure how those compare. I probably would not eat here again on my own choosing, but it is good enough that if someone elsewanted to try it again I could be persuaded to go. View menu

This restaurant has something to impress everyone. I visited on consecutive days for dinner and then breakfast. The appetizers are fantastic and have a homemade quality to them. The Alfredo was exceptional. If you're on vacation or just passing through, be sure to include this place in your plans—you won't be disappointed!

During our trip, my sister and I decided to have brunch at this restaurant and we were very pleased with our experience. We were promptly seated and our waitress, Janice W., provided excellent service. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The coffee was served in large mugs and was excellent. We will definitely return in the future.

I stumbled upon this restaurant, and I'm so glad I did. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere, complemented by its rustic log cabin decor. While the decor could use a little updating, it wasn't off-putting. I noticed several families with children, all of whom seemed quite at home. I was disappointed with the food, especially considering this restaurant is one of the most popular in the Effort/Mt. Pocono area. The presentation of the chicken parm looked great, but unfortunately, it did not taste as good as it looked. The chicken was tender and the broth was thick, but there was very little sauce on the chicken. It was difficult to keep the chicken crispy, but they managed to do so. The amount of cheese was good, but the pasta was too al dente for my liking and lacked sauce. On the positive side, the portions were very generous and could easily be shared between two or even three people. Entrees and sandwiches are top notch and reasonably priced. My husband I love the chimichurri sauce that comes with the Steak Frite (we have it with rice, not fries) and the pot roast is to die for, be it as an entree, in the Supper Sandwich or on top of the Edelweiss fries. My only beef with the place is the undersized yet overpriced desserts. Tonight we got a salted caramel cake for $8.50, a chocolate lava cake for $9 and a churros sundae for $9. At those prices you would expect hefty servings but they were disappointingly paltry. I regret to say that my visit to this restaurant did not go well. I was unable to park because my space was clamped, forcing me to find alternative arrangements. Once inside, I noticed most patrons were gathered in the bar area. Although there were larger tables available, I was seated at a small one twice. When I asked to be moved, I was told that no larger tables were clean. I ordered the $22 salmon dish, which was quite disappointing.
