"This is my very first Google review. This is how much I loved the food here!!! We're staying at the hotel next door and were headed out for dinner when a thunderstorm hit. Decided to just walk over and eat at the Lighthouse. Was blown away by thefriendly service, amazing food and the reasonable prices! Had the calamari which was fantastic with the tiny bits of friedvegetables and jalapenos. The soup flight was awesome with plenty of grilled cheese to go with it. I tasted each soup and myfave was the clam chowder. I've been eating clam chowder all week throughout new England. This one hands down was the best! Inever order the shrimp scampi at restaurants...I usually order red sauce (in lactose intolerant so the creamy sauces are out). This was the only pasta dish without cream so I ordered it and it was amazing too!"

Who said that you had to travel to Montreal for a great steak. The Lighthouse Restaurant offers a great Montreal seasoned Ribeye served over truffle fries, with a crumbled blue cheese gravy.

Food was good. Service was not. 20 minutes to be seated, 1 hour to receive food (after order was taken), 30 minutes waiting for bill after we had finished eating (never asked about dessert). Waitress never checked on us. Didn?t even provide a spoon for thesoup. Will not return in the future. Restaurant was not busy. Worst experience at a restaurant I have had.

oh my goodness, this was the ultimate place for Thanksgiving dinner.! wonderful food, the man that seated us, was great. The waitress that waited on us, was lovely, and the food was really wonderful !!!! on Thanksgiving Day! They were the only ones thatgave us a reservation out of Colchester, and Burlington , Vt. Everyone else were full. the Food was Delicious, the service wasright on! and it was as expensive as the night before, when we went to the Blue Restaurant on the water linked to the Marriotton the water, which i won't go again.. too expesive...! ouch..... thank you to the LIGHTHOUSE IN COLCHESTER,vt

Where do I even start? I ordered for pick up. When I got in no one was there at the front to help us so after about 3 minutes of waiting we went to the bar area, where there were very obnoxious drunk people who you think would have to be kicked out.Anyway tried my best to ignore that, we finally got our order but I noticed cheese was missing from my burger but they stillcharged me. So I told the blonde worker, when I was explaining she just shook her head took my order and went to the back. Thenshe came back out with it me and my boyfriend thanked her, and no response?.. I didn?t appreciate the attitude for somethingthat was not my fault. I will definitely not be coming back View menu

"The overall atmosphere is a little odd, it was nicely decorated but otherwise practically silent. However the staff were friendly. The atmosphere wasn’t our issue tho cause the food is the biggest part. The price wasn’t horrible for how much we got, but the quality wasn’t amazing. The lobster roll was the winner of everything, I wouldn’t say it’s the best in the world but compared to the rest of the food it was pretty good and for the price not too too bad. The crab cakes tasted like the stuffing to us and were very soft in texture, with little to no flavor of crab. One was fried lightly and the other was way darker in color. We would not recommend the crab cakes. The coleslaw wasn’t bad but it was quite sweet and had lots of liquid, flavor wise wasn’t bad just very sweet. We also got the shrimp roll, which was the biggest disappointment to us, it was fried shrimp in a roll. When we think of a shrimp roll we think of cooked shrimp in mayo with maybe some herbs in the roll. This was fried shrimp like what you’d get in a captains platter with cocktail sauce. The shrimp just didn’t have much seasoning unfortunately. And lastly we got the clam chowder, it wasn’t bad either however it was a bit over salted and that made it hard to eat without stopping for a drink. Overall I would say our experience was very disappointing and we unfortunately would not go again. I think the only time we would is if we really were craving a lobster roll and don’t want to spend lots of money on one.But otherwise we won’t be back."
