"I’m from Texas visiting my mom for the holidays. She recommended Lockheart, as she has eaten here twice before. Made reservation for 8pm on Friday, January 5th. Was immediately seated, although at one of the two round tables in the center of the restaurant. Personal opinion is that the tables were too close together and that the overall ambiance is negatively affected by the very loud music and low booths. Restaurant is not set up for customers to hold a conversation. Ordered the Chorizo and Shrimp Queso as an appetizer. Chips are just as good as any restaurant in San Antonio. Consistency of the queso was off; top was very watery while the bottom of the cast iron pan had cheese that wasn’t melted into a “queso”. Good portion for two people at $12. Mom ordered the Short Rib Birria and the PBLT tacos. The birria is made with beef short ribs, so buyer beware that this isn’t actual birria. The tortilla did not appear to be dipped in the consommé prior to grilling. She enjoyed both tacos regardless. $6.50 for the birria and $6 for the PBLT. I ordered the Brick Chicken plate. Twice the size of what the server said it was. This is a plate you could split between two people, as I was unable to finish it. It’s brined half chicken with roasted Brussels sprouts, carrots, sweet potatoes, and potatoes in a pepper herb glaze. Would definitely order again, but ask for the Brussels sprouts to be cooked a tad longer, to have more than a half inch bite of carrot, and for a side of the herb glaze. Seriously flavorful and a great value at $19! Mom had a Michelob Ultra which was brought with a Stella Artois chalice. Average price for a restaurant at $6. I love rye whisky and jump at the opportunity for a Manhattan. Tried the Black Walnut Manhattan for $15. Would order again or find something off of their seasonal menu."

Dinner menu options were slim. Service was slow despite not being too busy. Asked about the brick chicken (did not want loose skin) and was told its a hit or miss; how could the kirchen not ensure consistency! Disappointed. On a positive note: staff was friendly. View menu

First time at the Lockheart Restaurant in Wellesley Square. It was outstanding. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable, the waitress very friendly and accommodating and paced our dinner well, and the food was delicious. Perfect choice to bring in the new year!

We were seated promptly and our orders were taken right away by pleasant staff, but the kitchen was running behind. We waited a long time for our chicken nachos. We ordered a variety of tacos that were all delicious, if a little messy to eat. Chicken, fish, brussel sprout, beef carnitas, all tasty. Were wishing for a stack of paper napkins! Some nights they have live music downstairs and Wednesdays they have an open mic night.

"Quick to become a favorite gem We’ve dined at The Farmhouse on several occasions, whether date night, couples night, or family night. Each offering has been individually notable as “that-was-worth-it” experiences. Last meal as a celebration to our daughter, we enjoyed an evening outside on the terrace high top- and wasn’t that fun for the kids. We enjoyed good apps, good drinks (cocktails mocktails , great conversations and great mains. Fresh ceviche followed by savory shrimp fettuccine- perfectly cooked (poached? tiger shrimp that melts in your mouth, with a clever saffron poisson sauce- and a surprise option, the tenderly-cooked duck breast with expertly roasted brussel sprouts and sweet potato purée. Voilà, merci! Pricey, though worth the extra coin. More importantly, our kids finished their meals off the kid menu- in fact, a very well cooked cut of salmon and al dente pasta- clean plate club! Thus overall, pleased with the sister restaurant of Buttercup (The Farmhouse is distinctively unique, in our view for hitting all the checks, whether a romantic dinner, engaging couples night out, or building memorable times with the family.
