"Was excited to try this restaurant after seeing it on CBS Saturday Morning, but left feeling a little disappointed. It is extremely loud! Everyone is leaning in to talk to the person next to them or almost yelling to others if sitting with a large group. My husband ordered a beer; I opted for a glass of something similar to Sauvignon Blanc. Our server suggested Sancerre which was very good but price was listed as $22 on his menu, $23 on my menu $20 on the website! We ordered the Tempura Shrimp as an appetizer. Tasted like fried shrimp and only had a drizzle of sesame mayo. Our entrees, Steamed Red Snapper and Miso Salmon were excellent and service was outstanding."

Stopped here by accident for lunch while visiting NYC. Beautiful setup, very nice service and excellent food and wines. Warm atmosphere, good menu selection. Recommended.

Great Experience and Great Food. Manager Marcus Lawrence took great care of us. He had a table set up on time and service was excellent all around. Great job Marcus ! He went above and beyond !

The food at The Lure Sea Food was good, but there was a manager who was creating a lot of tension with the staff that it was palpable. I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated, View menu

I made a reservation for here in advance for the night we arrived from the Uk. When we got to the restaurant we were told there was a private event on and they had cancelled all bookings. I had not received an email or phone call. This ruined our 1st night in NY.

There is no doubt that our next visit to NYC will include a visit to Lure. From the Old Fashion to the Grappa, with scrumptious food in between it was an excellent dining experience. For a Wednesday night the place was packed and vibrant. Very impressed with the service.

Totally underwhelmed. The waiters were nice enough, but the food was meh and very expensive. The dining room is jammed with people who cannot hear each other so they scream ever more loudly, so the overall effect is like sitting next to a fighter jet on take-off. I'll never go there again. Obviously a very popular place. The lady on the front desk does an amazing job of getting everyone seated. The food was good, as was the service but they jam so many covers in that it is just too crowded and super noisy, it's like being in a club, one needs to shout above the music and mass of diners.

The food was good, yet overpriced in my opinion (I had better sushi for much less . Service was very intensive. Servers constantly were at our table to pour the bear from the can into my glass and to remove items from the table (paper cover of chopsticks, empty plates etc. . It was hard to talk and enjoy the meal when every minute or two some hands will introduce into our space and move between our plates while we eat. It felt very uncomfortable.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
