"Upon arrival , the staff did not know our party of 10 was coming and seems surprised. The downstairs area was cold ,and they tried to put us on a table for 8 . We asked to be upstairs, to find that our table was ready upstairs but the staff didn't know it. Upstairs was warmer and the music was quieter so we could hear one another. The waiter tried to talk us out of going upstairs because he didn't want to have to go up and down the stairs to wait on us. Once things got started , it turned out to be a very nice evening. The waiter turned out to be very accommodating, friendly. We did apologize for his need to go up and down the stairs. The food was excellent , and the spicy sauces were fun to experiment with . Everyone enjoyed themselves once the initial confusion was over."

Food was very good but the wait and delivery were sub par. Restaurant was not particularly busy but it took way too long for our food to show up so long that the server lost track of who ordered what.

It's a cool place but the food is just ok. The ceviche was gamey and the empanada crust tasted like it had been frozen for some time. The fried yucca was good (but then you can't go wrong with anything fried).

the restaurant is a beautiful place for friends to gather for a casual meal with very interesting meals. it has many possibilities to share plates of food. but the suppe I ordered was too good to be divided, everything was mine. View menu

This place was phenomenal from the beginning to the end Food was out of this world And service was very genuine... the servers reallyo care about their costumers The cocktails are honestly the best I’ve seen ever Talk about craft cocktails.... The actual restaurant is gorgeous and they have live music at nights apparently !!! I can’t wait to come back.... Maybe tomorrow it’s that good!!!

we were in the gaslamp for the paul mccartney concert in the petco park. we booked last minute at Machu picchu. Although it was obvious that they were overwhelmed by the early crowd because of the concert, they offered a good service and brought us into the time for the concert. the food was excellent (to taste the bark stew! . and the total price was great, especially considering that we had 7 of us in the last minute. we will definitely go back, though perhaps not in a concert night or if we are in time tight.

they were on a limited menu — understandable for comic-con — and I just wanted something simple, like a club sandwich. our appetizer came after the escape, and I was never served a bad club sandwich in my whole life. the brot was soggy and lifeless, and there were slightly more tomato than truthahn. in addition, the service was slow. what should have taken up 45 minutes, took twice as long. the delays were not with the food delivery, but with the service. a full 10 mini, before we were offered water, and another 15 minutes after we had finished our meal before the waiter offered our leak. pisco mad were nice. the personal was overwhelmed and they weren't even full. They tried, but they came for a moment. causa was tasty mustels not even close to what they should be. no taste or seasonal anticuchos minimal and almost boiled to a crunchy main dish. she green pasta was well made and delicious. toc dry the rest of the meals were boiled in order, but this is the best I can say. the seasoning and mixing of the aromen peruvian food is known for was not there. Eat was bland, cook uninspired and mixed not mixed or cooked right. do not go back when there is an excellent Peruvian restaurant in north county.

We had a reservation for 8, and were seated immediately when we arrived—great! The waiter was helpful, but seemed quite frazzled. I understand that we were there the night of a huge concert at Petco, so you’d think they would have staffed appropriately. We waited for a long time for our food. The food was ok, not spectacular, but good. The ceviche was great, other dishes so-so. The waiter said they ran out of plates !!!! , so that was kind of awkward. We asked for our check, and waited around 20 minutes for it to arrive. So, overall, service was very slow, food was ok, but the prices were good, so I might give it another try in the future.
