"Who cares about it, am I writing about my terrible culinary experience in Mastro?s Ocean Club, Downtown LA on Tuesday, 15 November?. Wife worked with Laurence Whiting, Director of Events for two months at my 41. Birthday celebration on Tuesday, 15 November. They booked the bar banquet table event space for my party of 14 people, paid the $900 deposit and was said to be a $1800 minimum. It was only 13 people and my party didn't fit.. Laurence was aware that my group had to be at 8:00 in Crypto Arenaat! We came at 5:15... hour and half later no entrees and sides. WORST PLACE EVER!!!! Thank you for saying that you mean 41. have ruined B-day and since 18th No one has gone out of November! What a joke! Laurence and the GM are figs not to help! We paid $918.71 for bill without page and Entrees and a $900 deposit you still load us."

Omg Happy Hour until 930 with excellent food choices. We had the meatballs, Calamari and olives from the Happy Hour menu and they were delicious. I look forward to enjoying a meal again.

I actually came here for a murder mystery dinner. It was a great time. I had the Atlantic salmon which was really good. My girlfriend had the chicken parmigiana which was also tasty. And had some drinks at the bar. I liked this place for their food and ambience. Try it.

Iconic Italian restaurant. Great food and service. A place where people actually dress up for dinner. Loved that gentlemen wore suit jackets and women dresses accordingly. Loved my Elderberry Greyhound. A place were you can have a conversation and not yell over the music. Excellent!!! View menu

This is our third visit to Matteo's, twice on our own and once with guests. The food has been exceptional each time.... Spaghetti and Meatballs, Veal Piccata, Chicken Parmesiana. The salads and dessert are also excellent. Service is great. This place is a gem. Reasonably priced and historic.

A really nice restaurant with great food where you can actually have a conversation with your dinner companions. The bread is delicious (which is why they charge for a second basket), great Caesar salad and special salad with Gorgonzola, cranberries and nuts. Dinners were good sized and well prepared. We recommend both chicken dishes and the special pappardelle pasta with mushrooms. One of the very few restaurants that still serve tartufo (intense dark chocolate ice cream rolled in dark chocolate bits) and spumoni. Like being in Italy!
