the buffet was terrible. the food tasted and looked very old. would not recommend eating at the buffet.

Pulled in on our way to Gulf Shores. Very well stock with many choices. All though didn't stay long site will stop again. There is a Subway in the same building.

We had to ask for everything but our service person keep forgetting. She did apologize but still extra dressing and butter never came. Baked potatoes were cold Please if you want to charge steak house prices, please act like one This place needs to step up View menu

The food was either overcooked or undercooked. The buffet selection was very limited. The animals appeared stressed and tired. The autoshow was enjoyable, but the food tent was not as busy and the food took a long time to arrive. I visited this place a year ago and had a great experience, but this time was disappointing. We are reconsidering coming back in the future.

Went for the mother's day buffet, was disappointed by quality of food but I'm not going to bash too hard as I understand the kitchen staff was most likely slammed with continually producing more food. One thing I would try and work on is the shrimp though, they seemed to be undercooked. My guess is that on other days, the food here is delicious (judging by other reviewers).

My brother recently visited Texas, so we decided to dine at McClain. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and attentive. The waitress catered to our needs without being overbearing. We opted for the buffet and found the food to be well-prepared. My brother particularly enjoyed the meatloaf, while I found the cheesecake to be scrumptious. Read before you go! We have been visiting McClains for years. They have really dropped the ball. It was over $50 for my family of 3 today. The food quality has gone way down! The food is not as good and there is not as much variety. The Buffett is so nasty and they don’t clean up. All the foods are mixed together. The waiters no longer refill your drinks. Barely any waiters at all. There was an item at gift shop that I looked at a few weeks ago , it was $10, today it was $19.99. They have gone way up, but the quality has gone way down. We won’t be back.

There is such a wide variety of items on the buffet. Even if you're a picky vegetarian like me, there are so many vegetables to choose from. The atmosphere is amazing! The only two reasons for a 4 not a 5 star is #1: there used to to be a larger selection for desserts like different cakes pies. Hint: if the restaurant would make smaller portions, then maybe not so much would get wasted. #2: There was a 1.5 hour wait. Yes, it was Mother's Day, but when I called the restaurant, I was told that there was only a 25 minute wait. Well, by the time we got there, we didn't want to take the risk of going somewhere else for an even longer wait. Also, keep in mind that you have to go get your own drink...

I arrived at 5:15 in the evening for a reservation at 4:30. The lady at the host stand just looked at me and said nothing. The dining room was dirty, with food on the floor and tables. The person who bussed the tables did a good job, but the tables were not properly wiped down with cleaning solution. I was looking forward to dining here, as it had a good reputation when it first opened. However, the food was mostly cold and had clearly been sitting out for a while.
