"During our trip from New York City to Boston, we stopped at this restaurant so our daughters could have breakfast. We were promptly greeted with politeness at the counter. The food was fresh and we finished it quickly. The restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. The highlight for our girls was the large Easter tree, decorated with rabbits, eggs, garland, and more. They absolutely loved it. Overall, a great experience."

"Casual, warm, and friendly cafe with pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and other American food. Order at the front and they bring it to you. Obviously a place with a lot of regulars. A married couple walked-in, and the waiter said oh hey, nice to see you again! Other patrons in the restaurant are two sets of gray-haired ladies, and a married couple with their teenage son. Playing soft Italian music in the background and they 've got two TVs mounted to the wall. Drink options are mainly a variety if sodas or juices, but they 've got wine too."

"We hadn't been here in a while before the pandemic and it was OK. The food is good, but the problem is the pricing and what you get for the value particularly on the wine. We had a couple of glasses at the bar and a couple of glasses at our table and before you know it our total bill was a $175 with tip. I'm not crazy about the wine list frankly they have very few lower priced lines every bottle seems to start at $60 or more and they have few Cali varietals. Most places have at least a bottle in the $30 to $40 range for each varietal. But One 53 doesn't follow that at all. We probably won't be back for a while since we live in Monmouth County and it's a long ride to Rocky Hill, and we used to really like this place."

"The Bagel Nook is a fantastic spot for delicious, packed bagels! They offer a wide variety of choices, and everything tastes fresh. However, I am puzzled by the special instructions option since it seems they rarely follow it. I’ve struggled to communicate that I want my hashbrown on the side rather than on the Bacon Egg Sandwich, and no matter how I try to convey that, it never happens. Additionally, I highly recommend requesting your bacon to be extra crispy, unless you prefer chewy, undercooked strips. Even then, they might still overlook your request and serve chewy pieces. It’s disheartening to spend over $10 on a bagel only to have to remove the bacon because it's nearly inedible. Overall, their bagels are much better enjoyed in person. I just wish they would pay attention to special requests or perhaps introduce options for crispy bacon and hashbrowns on the side."

"Absolutely fantastic! This is my second time ordering from this place, and I couldn’t be happier. The hummus is excellent! The pita sandwiches are tightly rolled, making them easy to eat without creating a mess. The baklava is among my favorites. They also have an extensive menu with plenty of options. The sfiha are delicious too!"

"I had an amazing Philly cheesesteak sub! The small size was surprisingly generous, overflowing with steak, cheese, and a delightful mix of red and green peppers and onions. It was wonderfully packed. The French fries were served hot and were absolutely perfect, arriving in a large soup bowl. I could only finish half, so I decided to take the rest home to reheat later, which I haven't done in a while. The Diet Coke was large and came with a fresh lemon wedge, a nice touch since I didn’t even have to ask for it. The staff, including the person who took my order and the cook, were all exceptionally friendly and pleasant. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. My total came to $17.55, which I think is a fantastic value considering the quality and quantity of the meal. I highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a satisfying meal in a relaxed environment when you're hungry."
