"So glad to see that Michael’s has stood the test of time. Been going here since the ‘80’s when I lived in Brooklyn and have returned even when I moved away. Food is excellent the service is terrific. We had baked clams, linguine with white clam sauce the ‘smashed’ veal chop parmigiana. Worth the trip from Jersey and Long Island, Long Live Michael’s!"

The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. My only issue was that it took a bit too long for our cocktails to arrive; in fact, our appetizer came out before we received our drinks.

Awesome experience, especially during the Christmas season. Love this restaurant. It’s become a Christmas time tradition. Food was delicious! Service was professional and kind. Worth every penny and more. Piano player is a nice touch. View menu

I had the best fried calamari I've ever tasted! I also tried the cacio e pepe, and it was absolutely delicious! The portions were quite generous, and we finished everything! The service was excellent, and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be back soon!

Michaels is a great place with great food. We enjoyed the food they put on the table before the meal cheese, salami, olives and bread. My family really enjoyed it, and would like to come back again. The only drawback was if you go on a weekend, you may not get into the valet lot and it's really difficult to get street parking View menu

We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. Our waiter, Enzo, was friendly, helpful, and enjoyable to talk to. He even brought a candle in my mother's dessert and sang her "Happy Birthday." The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and we had a wonderful evening overall. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
