Moustaki Authentic Gyros

This place has great food...huge portions for the price.but it's service is spotty and the interior is echo-y, which can make it a little overwhelming during the lunch rush. This is especially true If you go on a weekend due to the proximity of FI. I'd come back if I was in the area on a weekday.

The gyro is tiny like the size of a small taco, the meat was pretty dry, and it didn’t have much flavor. I ordered the pork gyro with everything on it. Not worth $13.00 in my opinion. In comparison to the other Greek/gyro restaurants in the Philadelphia area, this one is at the bottom of my list.

I tried the chicken sandwich and falafel sandwich for lunch for the first time, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. The fries in the sandwich tasted undercooked, and they were cold and extremely stale. The falafel was also cold and dry, and everything lacked flavor except for the mustard sauce. View menu

Food was ok, though a bit expensive. Food was served in two batches with a 10 minute gap. Funny thing is that the earlier-served batch was a bit cold while the latter was piping hot (served to a child). Bathroom hand dryer wasn't working, and no paper hand towels were provided. But the people running the place had plenty of time to hug, kiss, and read books. I won't be going back.

I had a fabulous time at Moustaki! I ordered the Lamb Gyro entrée with waffle fries, white pita, rice and tzatziki. The lamb was succulent, the waffle fries crispy and tzatziki simply delicious. This was my first time trying Greek cuisine, and I was not disappointed! The staff were also really friendly and helpful, and the dining area was cool and felt very homely (there were a lot of people in the restaurant at the time). 5/5 restaurant in my opinion

We have been craving Greek food and walked by this place recently and decided to pop in tonight. It did not disappoint! The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food came out fast, and everything was delicious. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and was full of flavor. We had the Greek salad, chicken souvlaki, lemon potatoes, tzatziki and pita, plus the loukumades and baklava for dessert. The portions were huge and we have enough for lunch tomorrow, too! Have slept on this place for way to long, I've grabbed a casual lunch and now delivery for dinner. This place is fantastic. The pita is great, the pita chips and garlic eggplant dip are delicious (especially for a garlic lover). The moustaki sampler platter is a genrous portion of sides plus three of the mains, I suggest the chicken souvlaki, loukaniko, and lamp gyro. The loukaniko might be my new favorite sausage with a kiss of orange and fennel. Roast veggies are great. I've also had the dips for lunch. Either way, would definitely recommend.

The person taking our order was very friendly, and our food was ready in about 10 minutes. We took it back to our hotel and enjoyed it about 45 minutes later. Everything was well-packaged, so there were no spills in the bag, and the flavors were excellent. The two of us shared the meal and had more than enough to eat, all for just $25 plus tip. If we hadn’t been exhausted from a full day of sightseeing, it would have been lovely to sit outside and people-watch at the small picnic-style wooden tables. Since we walked there, I didn’t pay much attention to the parking situation.

I had a fantastic chicken gyro here, and I was accompanied by a wonderful Greek friend, which I think gives this place the genuine Athenian stamp of approval when it comes to quality gyros. I also enjoyed a delicious peach tea that was claimed to be Greek, but a quick look at the label revealed it was actually from Egypt. I’m hoping it’s Egyptian in the same way that the Ptolemaic dynasty was, as they were descendants of Alexander the Great, like Cleopatra. On a positive note, I really appreciated that the food was served on real plates. However, our outdoor table had a huge gash in it, making it somewhat difficult to use. View menu
