"Party of 6 came 5:45 with reservation sits immediately on a set table. The waitress tried hard, but seemed badly equipped to handle our party and other tables. She reported "melting a melt down" and seemed to have cried. The managers were filling in when the waitress disappeared on our request, but did not seem to know that she had left the ground before. It is a difficult time to find trained help and that was just another example. We're definitely going back. We have often been there in the past and have never experienced this kind of service. The food complaints were: the Cole Slav saw a little discolored in places, some of the food was not hot, but it was edible, too much pasta, but the sauce was delicious and chicken very delicate, steak tips ok but would not order again, ordered grilled salmon was darkened, but it was cooked accordingly. A dessert came out that the waitress disappeared and we waited for another 20 minutes to serve the rest. Ice melted."

Seared scallop dinner was outstanding and together with the white wine special it was a great dinner and good value. Only disappointment was the absence of the bread basket with the sweet butter; please bring it back!

Used to be an upscale place, not any longer. We were not offered any water or traditional bread plate. Food was good, but on a heavy side. Drinks were ok. No tablecloth, no more live piano. There are TVs on if you would prefer to watch a game on a date. Do not think we would be going back any time soon View menu

First off we asked for a high top in the bar area, didn’t get it. No big deal. Service was awful. Took forever to get our drink order. Waitress disappeared after delivering the drinks. Ordered an app. and it was delicious. Asked the waitress for some dinner rolls and was told they no longer service them. It wasn’t all that busy, not sure why service was so slow

We both had the seared scallops with gnocchi and as usual it was an excellent meal. The scallops were a generous size and cooked perfectly and paired with the gnocchi and cream sauce it was a wonderful meal. For the price of the entree however we'd suggest a slightly larger portion of gnocchi. We'd also like to see a return of the bread basket a somewhat unique offering with the sweet butter that we always looked forward to with our meals at Muddy Rudder
