"We tried a Painkiller and a Watermelon Cucumber Margarita for cocktails, both of which were quite good. However, I found my margarita to be a bit too full of ice and not enough liquid. Also, when I request a salted rim, I prefer it to be salted all around instead of just one small section. As an appetizer, they serve delicious focaccia bread with a mouthwatering cheese and red pepper flake dipping oil—be careful, it's so addictive that you'll want to fill up on it! We also ordered the whipped feta, which I recommend sharing at the table, as it’s quite generous in portion. I wasn't a fan of the sesame crisps, but the cucumber slices and pita bread complemented the whipped feta well, and the garbanzo bean topping was flavorful. For the main course, my friend and I tried two of the new Oktoberfest dishes: I had the pork schnitzel with red cabbage and potato pancake, while my friend opted for the drunken bratwurst over mashed potatoes. Though the schnitzel dish looked appealing, it was surprisingly lackluster in flavor—the potato pancake was decent, but neither the schnitzel breading nor the meat had much taste. For me, the highlight was the red cabbage (I’m a fan!). The service was prompt, and we had no trouble getting a table at 5:45 PM on a Thursday. By the time we left at 7 PM, the restaurant was getting busier, so if you’re dining with a larger party or prefer not to wait long for your meals, I’d recommend arriving earlier in the evening."

Your food is fantastic! I have just one suggestion: please consider going a bit lighter on the pizza toppings. A few weeks ago, my wife ordered a Mediterranean pizza and found it too overloaded with toppings to enjoy. Tonight, the pizza had way too many olives and pepperoni. That said, the food is still excellent, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. I also love the cookies for dessert!

My kids and their dates went to NYAJ’s for pre-Homecoming dinner, and I waited for them at the bar to pay their bill when they were done. Their server introduced herself to me and brought the check directly to me when they were done, and I had a great dinner at the bar. My daughter said her chicken was under done but she didn’t know well enough to send it back and give them a chance to fix it.

I was really looking forward to enjoying some gluten-free food while visiting family. After discussing my dietary needs with the restaurant staff twice, I was assured that they could accommodate me and also ensure my meal was dairy-free. We picked up the food and drove home, which took over 20 minutes, only to find that instead of the gluten-free side I had ordered, I received bread. I’m visiting from South Carolina, and I have to say I was disappointed. The highlight of the meal was the bread they served at the table. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn’t meet expectations. The presentation was nice, but the crab cakes lacked flavor, the potatoes were overcooked, and the lemon aioli on the salad just tasted like lemon juice drizzled over lettuce. None of my family enjoyed their meals either. This was, unfortunately, the least satisfactory food I've had since arriving in Virginia.

We used to love going to NYAJ in Reston. It was always good food and great service. Over the last 2 years, the food quality has gone down and the prices are going up as they are everywhere). When we got there, it was a Sunday and there were maybe 4 other tables besides us. The service was fine but I ordered the avocado toast and the arugula on top was limp and looked like it had been either left out or a little older. It was not wilted but limp. The egg on my meal was supposed to be over easy but was clearly undercooked as there was clear egg white around the yoke. Based on this and the higher prices, its not a great choice for us anymore.
