"ZERO stars! I ordered a cake on the phone w/Valeria (almost positive on the name however Caroline is the name to remember). I ordered a white cake w/white icing and decorations and chocolate inscription. The cake was ready on time and my husband picked it up. When he got home and I opened the box, it was a white icing cake w/Choc writing and ALMONDS all over the sides of the cake. I called and spoke w/Caroline and told her the cake had almonds all over it and I didn 't order almonds. She looked at my order and said I didn 't say no almonds. I told her in addition to not ordering almonds, I also didn 't say 'no strawberry filling, etc '. She did not once apologize or offer to help me in any way. She kept repeating 'you did not say no almonds. We are a bakery and we use nuts. ' I am still dumbfounded at the horrendous customer service. Caroline was so unhelpful and unapologetic, I will forever tell everyone to STAY AWAY! Unless of course, you don 't mind ordering something and listing everything you DON 'T want on your item, versus ordering what you do want. White cake, white icing w/chocolate writing. It 's a bakery! Go to Three Tarts, Deerfield 's, or Tags Bakery someplace where you will get what you ordered and it actually tastes better!"

"I'm thrilled to share my first review of Oak Mill Bakery! After spending $30 on these delicious goodies, I couldn't be more excited."

It was recommended to check the Oak Mill Bakery. I noticed that the people behind the counter, the handling of the goods didn't wear gloves. A lady had her fingers on the cake so It was definitely not appetizing.

Great place to get pastries and treats for anyone craving to satisfy a sweet tooth. Plenty of options for gifts as well! Not too sweet like its American counterparts, but just right. I got a box of holiday cookies and was not disappointed. These were perfect with tea and coffee.

The customer service needs improvement. I requested a cake for 10 people and was told they would check with the manager and call me back in 5 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes, I had to call them again, only to learn that it would be considered a special order and it was too late. Keep in mind, I called 48 hours in advance. Are they really expecting customers to place an order for a simple cake 10 days ahead of time? It's just ridiculous.

We had Oak Mill Bakery make our wedding cake and it was just amazing. The experience of visiting to taste and decide on the type of cake we wanted was so fun it was such a nice experience and Basia was a pleasure to work with. The cake was DELICIOUS. We got so many compliments from guests mentioning how good it was. A family friend of ours came up to us and said it was the best wedding cake he ever had! We were so happy we took home the top tier so we could enjoy it as well, it was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend Oak Mill! View menu

Fast forward to today: my friend went for her appointment (I couldn't join her). Although her appointment was at 3 p.m., she arrived at 2:30 p.m. and told the person at the counter that she was there to meet Basia, the wedding cake coordinator. My friend waited patiently, but Basia never came out, which left her very disappointed. I found out about this and immediately called the bakery to speak with Basia. She insisted she had been there the whole time and had no idea my friend was waiting for her. It seems the person at the counter didn’t inform her that my friend had arrived for her 3 p.m. appointment. Basia knew about the appointment but didn’t take the effort to check if my friend was...

We have ordered birthday cakes time and time again from Oak Mill Bakery, and they never disappoint. Their cakes are fresh and full of flavor and their decorations are beautiful and creative. I love love love that they can do the frosting only with whipping cream; I always ask them not to use any of that off-putting buttercream that is simply too heavy to eat, or fondant, which everyone leaves on their plate and ends up being such a terrible waste. Oak Mill’s cakes are definitely more European-style, less heavy and cloying and with more refined flavors and textures. From the rich and decadent devil’s chocolate cake with chocolate ganache to the airy, worthy-of-its-name temptation cake, vanilla...

"In the past 6 months I’ve ordered from Blufish 7 times via Doordash. I’ve always had a good experience ordering mostly sushi items, specifically salmon. My usual tab is approx 150-200 so I’m ordering a good amount of sushi. I would say I’m a regular customer who understands the variability in quality of sushi from a low-budget Lawrence Fish market tray all the way to Michelin-level omakase. My last order here(7/12/24) included 15 pieces of salmon nigiri and other various salmon items. Upon delivery, all 5 of us eating the salmon items could not eat a single piece. Pieces were mushy, smelled off, and felt warm to the touch. Not edible. Our non-salmon items were all delicious. When I called Blufish to let them know, I was swiftly dismissed by the manager who told me no one else had any complaints, so there was nothing Blufish could do about it. Now, I don’t know if the salmon we got was old or subpar because it was a carryout order vs. dine in, but the utter lack of care to even validate my concerns or follow-up with the kitchen was disheartening and frankly pretty unprofessional. I am not a first time customer nor am I a serial complainer. This is the first time I had such an issue and I expected a lot more from Blufish. Too bad. For those of you looking to frequent an establishment that values your loyal patronage, find a different sushi spot that actually respects their clientele."
