"Some other reviewers have mentioned the presence of young and inexperienced waitstaff (which has included my own kids, family members, and friends at times). I want to commend the owner and managers for their efforts to make the most of the current staffing shortages by hiring and training local young people. If you come with patience, kindness, and understanding, you'll witness a young and energetic team working hard to provide you with a wonderful experience, all while developing valuable skills that could help this struggling industry in the future. This is definitely a spot worth checking out! It’s also very kid-friendly, with an outdoor lawn perfect for children to run around. There are chickens, ducks, and goats to observe, and often toy trucks for them to play with. Meanwhile, parents can relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The outdoor lawn is ideal for children to play and run around. They can observe chickens, ducks, and goats, and there are often toy trucks available for them to enjoy. Meanwhile, parents can unwind and take in the stunning sunsets.

Beautiful Venue, went for the Maine Womens Annual 420 event, and I was so impressed with the location! Beautiful waterfront with a natural wooden arch for special events (ie weddings) gorgeous barn with a bar, upstairs, spacious floor layout, back porch, it was breathtaking, had a vintage lounge like feel and gorgeous chandeliers. Definitely would highly recommend this location for anyone planning an event! View menu

The real stars of this place are the food and drinks. One cocktail that stands out is the "Lady of the Garden," a delightful lavender gin concoction that has quickly become one of my go-to favorites! When it comes to the food, you can't really go wrong. They expertly combine casual pub fare with more upscale options. Some of my personal favorites include the Brussels sprouts, the Smith farm burger, and the carbonara. Overall, the menu offers a little something for everyone.

The atmosphere is outstanding. The decor, the live music, the rolling lawn and farm animals, perfection. The food (that we were actually served) was great. The pizza in particular is incredible. The bar was busy and once our drinks arrived they were excellent. The service however…left A LOT to be desired. If your customers are inconveniencing you just by sitting down in your section, it’s probably time to go home. We hope our waitress gets some rest and has a better day tomorrow.

This place was wonderful. Everything a man could want on a night out with his wife. The Brussels were to die for and the egg rolls were just scrumptious. How is this not the top restaurant on everyone’s list. The view is wonderful and the animals there are just as fun and charming as the staff. Josh has to be the most professional and fun waiter I have had the pleasure of interacting with. Great recommendations from him. I had a hurricane margarita it has the perfect amount of spice and sweetness. My wife had the fried haddock as did I. Amazing night one I won’t forget for a long time. Will be back soon. Thank you Smith Family! View menu

Cool venue, rustic old barn with lots of charm. Ducks, chickens, and goats run free in the outdoor seating area. The vibe is a little confusing. Menu items of risotto, bruschetta, and carbonara have a real fine dining theme. However, many menu items are served on paper and plastic flatware. The wait staff is very young and inexperienced. Unfamiliar with the menu. Appetizers and entrées came out at the same time. One of the mixed drink specials we ordered was absolutely disgusting, which makes sense considering the bar tender looked barely old enough to drink. All in all, the atmosphere was great, the food was good, the service was just ok. The wood-fired pizza is a side business located outs...

Had such great expectations having seen the menu friends had eaten here before If you don’t mind waiting 40 minutes for drinks (and asking 3x or even actually not getting your food (3 of us got their dinners while one of us waited patiently even when the staff saw that 3’ of us had our food , mine never arrived our server was baffled as to why , mind you there were about 4 full tables … the hostess told us “ it’s not your fault” .. yes … we know that … when she said it was coming out soon (after the entire party had finished we had to ask to just forget the dinner or have the dinner comped they offered a drink no thank you.The food that DID arrive was yummy .Not an extensive bar menu but the...

"Sometimes I visit a food establishment that makes me want to lower all of my other ratings by a star. Maison Villatte is one of those places. I'm a sucker for meat and cheese combined with excellent bread/pastries, and Maison Villatte has so many items that fit the bill and blow everything else I've had in the past out of the water. They have excellent pastries with excellent flavors. Falmouth has become a top road trip destination for me because of Maison Villatte alone. My favorite item that I had was the ham and cheese croissant it's huge with infinite buttery flaky layers, crispy cheese on the outside, and delicious ham and cheese inside. We were lucky to get a hot one, and finished it immediately. I heavily considered buying another one when we stopped by the Woods Hole location a couple of hours later (despite having multiple other meat+cheese items to finish). The Parisien baguette sandwich (ham, cheese, butter) was also excellent, and I really enjoyed the bacon and cheese fougasse as well (though the bacon we got had much more fat than meat). We also got the focaccia sandwich with prosciutto and tomato sauce, and the focaccia had very nice air bubbles. We also tried the pain au chocolat, which was unsurprisingly delicious, and the chocolate raspberry genoise, which was perfectly smooth and decadent. I have heard that their coffee is not the best. I tried a bit of the strawberry chocolate mocha, and while the coffee flavor is mostly masked by the sweet flavors, it is not the best I've had. I'm literally planning my next trip to Maison Villatte, and will be craving its delicious savory and sweet options for a while!"
