"Now, onto the disappointments. The Lo Mein I ordered tasted as if it had been flavored with hibachi grease, which was unappetizing. The sushi we tried was strangely bland; there was no subtle fish flavor, and it lacked the typical vinegared rice. The mango in the sushi had no taste, and worst of all, it was served at room temperature, which is a big no for raw fish. The egg roll filling had an odd consistency and taste reminiscent of Play-Doh. As for the service, it left a lot to be desired; our waitress seemed irritated when we sent the sushi back. I personally think Yume is a better choice, even though their hibachi has been hit or miss recently. Some may not appreciate the worn-out appearance of the place, but I don’t mind hole-in-the-wall spots. If you’re just looking for hibachi, I’d rate it a 3, but the failure of the sushi and Lo Mein prevents me from giving it anything higher."

What I love about this place are the sashimi deluxe and the daily special roll. The sashimi is a large portion that is very reasonably priced and perfect to split with someone if you also share a roll or two. Very family friendly. I don't love the fried rolls and the choices of raw fish is limited to what they of course sell well. So not a huge selection, but it is a great treat to be able to eat such good quality fresh cut and large slices of Sashimi without paying an arm and a leg. The staff is friendly and efficient. Kid-friendliness: Brought special learner chopsticks and a high chair.
