"Pappas seafood House is a local institution. No matter what part of the Houston area you go if you see a ?Pappas? of any sort you know you?re gonna get fine dining. The problem with Pappas and it?s always been a challenge is enjoying a good plate of food but knowing the bill is gonna be through the roof. So it?s not the every week take the family out to dinner kind of place. It?s more for special occasions like Valentine?s Day, Mother?s Day or winning the lottery kind of place. Case in point, my party of three enjoyed two cocktails and one glass of middle of the pack white wine. The bill for the alcohol only was $41. Here?s a tip: if all you want is fried shrimp or catfish sitting on a bed of french fries then go somewhere else where you can get that particular dish expertly prepared at half the price. The great calling card for Pappas seafood in my opinion is the grilled fish and seafood. They do it like no other local restaurant. Again if you want great food, great service in a comfortable environment and have one of those high balance credit cards enjoy."

It was our first time dining here and we loved the flavors and portions of our food. The fried zucchini was great and I especially liked the stuffed crab and shrimp on the Deluxe Platter. The Mahi and carrots with pistachios was excellent. We plan on coming back here again to enjoy different plates and their delicious cheesecake!

The fried shrimp was excellent, and I ordered a side salad, which was too big. In fact, the servings are enormous. I don't like that much food on my plate like the mound of fries that came with the shrimp. Ordered the Seafood platter and it was approx. 45-50% french fries and only had 4 pieces of shrimp. Highly recommend that if you are placing a to-go order, order it for in first and then get a go box. visit pappas at the first time in humble. Friday night was busy, but our wait was less than 10 minutes. we ate at the bar where our barkeeper evelyn was friendly and very attentive. I don't have a cake for how delicious it is! ceasar salat was amazing, and we got a free cheesecake for the first time diners. that was delicious. clean, good prices and excellent food and service

Honestly, the food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. The only issue was with the drink my husband ordered. He always gets The Hurricane when we dine here and usually loves it, but this time he said it tasted terrible! I brought it up to our waiter, who offered to add some sweetener, but my husband chose not to send it back. He's had a similar experience with a drink I ordered in the past, and no matter how much they added, it was still awful. Plus, he doesn’t like to make a fuss and even mentioned that I shouldn’t have said anything to the waiter about the drink tasting bad. Other than that, everything else was great, and we really enjoyed our meal.
