"I am very disappointed by the service. there were so many things wrong when they were charged for 3 courses during Valentine's Day! here to name a few: first, the host tried to sit in the outside for a 3-course dinner. the lounge table and seats are much lower than a standard dinner height. then we asked to move inside and sat on a community table for Valentine's Day. I hadn't expected to share table with someone else, especially we had a dinner reservation. Secondly, we waited almost 30 minutes and no server came by. later we found out that bartender was too busy making cocktails and no time to serve tables assigned to him. I think manager should help in this situation, but nothing happened. we had to literally ask ourselves for the bartender attention. After barkeeper had taken over the orders, it took about 30 minutes to serve the first appetizers and it was a wrong order. at the time we could not even get the attention of our bartender because he was too busy at the bar. then it took another 30 minutes to serve me a main course while my date had to wait for eating. after another long waiting period he finally got his main course, but the next court was missing. we had no choice and started eating. my steak has already become cold. to give them an idea, we came to the restaurant at 7:15 o'clock and the main course was served at 9 o'clock. it's so bad! the missing next-court finally came when we almost ended our meal personally, I don't think the bartender should all take blame. I hope that management can give the manager and all the staff a proper training. this is my first and also the last time to visit the restaurant. I'm sorry, I'm not coming back soon."

That wasn’t the hotel restaurant. It’s not ideal for a cozy meal; it’s better suited for lunch.

Good for happy hour. Vibe would be better if lights were not so bright and there was music. Service great!

The food we ordered was just ok. The fish in the fish and chips was over cooked. The salad was over dressed. The service was slow.

They had a painting class going on in half of the dining room that was very loud. The heat wasn't working so the place was very cold. The waiter really tried very hard to make our experience enjoyable, but it was just not. View menu

the restaurant was from the first two items I wanted to order. the waiting staff has often checked with us, but I had to ask twice for my wein. the malt vinegar aioli was quite delicious, but the fish in the fish and chips was simply okay. so scare.

This restaurant has its ups and downs. The mornings are the best time to visit, thanks to Jeannie’s excellent service. During other times, I've often found my food delivered and then promptly overlooked. Jeannie’s breakfasts deserve a 5-star rating, while my experiences at other times have only been 3 stars.

The restaurant offers a wide selection of seafood and steak dishes. I had a great experience with their restaurant week combo. While the dressing was a bit on the heavy side and the Sauvignon Blanc was just okay, the cocktail menu is diverse and I've heard great things about them. They have some intriguing options, and I plan to return with friends who love seafood to try their steamed mussels. View menu

I love this place for the fantastic drinks, especially the great happy hour prices. Be sure to try the small plates during happy hour. The healthier options provide a better balance compared to previous selections. I really enjoy the heated terrace lounge, but I wish the interior were cozier and more intimate—it has more of a cafeteria vibe. The seating needs improvement, as it can get a bit chilly. The dinner menu is quite good, and Edmon makes excellent drinks. However, it would be nice if they served drinks with napkins.

Party of 4 for dinner. Restaurant seemed to be understaffed, bartender was acting as hostess and server through first part of the meal. Two of the vegetable side dishes were sold out because of banquet demand two nights in a row. Failure in food inventory planning? For one pasta dish the sauce had way too much garlic even though we were assured it was not that way when ordered. No food arrived for 45 minutes, everything at once. Salad did not arrive before meal. Second pasta dish no garlic) arrived 20 minutes after that. and was comped) Burger was good. One of two New York steaks were enjoyed. Staff were friendly but it was a bad night. We keep trying this place but it is very inconsistent,...

"Dear Gyu-kaku, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit to Gyu-kaku on October 7 at 8:00pm. While I have had positive experiences at your restaurant in the past, this particular visit left me extremely dissatisfied. Upon entering the restaurant, I was seated at a table that was clearly inadequate for my party's needs. We had made a reservation for 10 people, but the table provided could only accommodate 8. This immediately set the tone for our experience. To make matters worse, a waitress (not my main waitress) rushed us through the meal. She told us to put food to our places so she can have spaces to put more trays of meat. However, this is BBQ and the food just arrived within 5 mins. The meat hasn't even done yet to be edible. I asked her to set the trays at another table and we can grab them when we're done with our current plates. She said she couldn't do that and we must divide the food now so she could have spaces to set more trays. It was very reasonable to rush your customers through the meal. We're paying for our dinings. Gyu-kaku is a place to enjoy high quality Japenese food, and the service should uphold the standards of its high quality, not this rude and unprofessionalism. I value the dining experiences I have had at Gyu-kaku in the past, which is why I am particularly disappointed by this recent visit. I believe that the issues I have outlined above do not align with the high standards I have come to expect from your establishment."

"I was craving Persian food badly specifically wanting a beef kabab kobideh rice plate. I googled restaurants nearby that I could stop by for dinner. I saw Stone Stew Grill and Bar among the list of restaurants in the area. I 've heard of the place before, and I remember it being recommended by one of my close Persian friends. My fiancé and I arrived at Stone Stew around 8pm on a Saturday night. We were dressed for a casual sitdown, but when we peaked through the window we saw that everyone was dressed to the nines. We reluctantly walked in, but we were warmly welcomed and led to an upstairs dining area. We realized that the bottom floor was reserved for a surprise party, which was wild by the way! We sat back, enjoyed the music (DJ was spinning traditional Persian party music), and watched the bottom floor get lit. Overall customer service was great. The food came out quickly, and our server was great. He was so nice, helpful, and attentive. We ordered a couple of entrees to share. Obviously the beef kabab kobideh with rice was a must. Since we were at Stone Stew, I figured we might as well try the Vakil Abad Mashhad Stone Stew. I heard it also being referred to as Dizi. If you ask me, nothing beats home cooked Persian food, but Stone Stew hit the spot! Everything tasted flavorful and amazing. The kobideh was exactly how I expected it to be, so I was highly satisfied. The Dizi was completely new to me, and we both were pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. We mashed the garbanzo beans, potatoes, and stewed meat, which made for a comforting, rich soup."
