"This place is simply outstanding! Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to dining, and for me, what I crave is food that feels like it was lovingly prepared at home rather than just reheated frozen meals. The Patriot Tavern was recommended by my neighbors in Walpole, and I finally discovered the restaurant I've been searching for: delicious food, generous dinner plates, appetizing starters, homemade pizza with perfectly stretchy cheese, and refreshing drinks. I truly admire the effort that has gone into creating the atmosphere of this historic tavern, and it's impressive to see how many people visit daily. Phantom Gourmet, take note! Oh, and I should mention they host the best live entertainment of any local venue each week. - Alex K."

From the moment you enter this place the waiters give you an excellent feeling. Very courteous team, it is a kind restaurant to hang out with buddies or with your date. Great food, professional chief cook and stuff, comfortable cost and nice service. Warmly recommended.

We went in for five dollar burger Monday's, everything was fantastic ! The owner Steve couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. We ordered the wings, which were delicious and the burgers were the best I've had anywhere for a long time. Will definitely be going back many times, I highly recommend this place.

I can't wait to go back next time! The burgers were so tempting that I decided to try one, even though I'm not usually a burger eater. The blue cheeseburger with balsamic glaze was fantastic! The bun was sturdy enough to hold everything together and really complemented the burger. My husband had the Cape Cod Reuben, and he enjoyed it as well. It's a quirky little place that feels warm and friendly. View menu

I have always loved this restaurant, but something seems to have changed in the last few months. Tonight, we ordered the Fried Cauliflower, and to our dismay, we found black spots on the cauliflower beneath the breading—definitely unappetizing. The waitress noticed and promptly took it back. I then ordered a turkey and avocado wrap, but I’m still searching for the avocado. To top it all off, it took more than an hour for our food to arrive. The last time we visited, it also took over an hour to get our meals. Such a disappointment.

Very relaxing atmosphere, the Bar tender was very attentive to all patrons, the food was decent, and the prices were good. A little more light wouldn't hurt, but that could go either way.The patrons were friendly and a reflection of the owners business model. Even though I have not been here before I felt right at home, as it's just a laid back environment with a fair amount of space. You could sit away from everyone if you so choose, or sit at the bar and enjoy the company, conversation, food drink with the regular s and staff. Pleasent experience and some good laughs always is a plus.

"I've been to this restaurant several times. The food is always good and sometimes great. We went there last night and there was plenty of seating for outside so we asked to sit there cause we generally don't eat indoors these days. They had several of empty tables and went to seat us at the one high table they had which is ok if you are at a sports bar or they have no other seating but we weren't asked if we wanted to be at a high table with stools rather than a comfortable normal table. We asked to sit at a low table and of course they let us, but it would show a bit of caring to ask first. Small details but things you notice when you have worked on the industry for 10 years. Later when we ordered drinks we ordered 2 normal sodas and 2 diet. When the waitress brought them I double checked because I had a feeling that she would confuse them (sometimes you get this feeling and have to check) and she said that she actually separated them on the tray to make sure she got them right. The reason I checked is cause my wife is diabetic so she has to avoid sugary drinks and if she has any sugar she has to know so she can adjust her insulin intake to avoid serious medical issues. I also get diet so if she ever needs to take a sip from my drink it's not an issue. One of our friends drank her soda and right away she said this one is diet. She really dislikes diet sodas and can tell right away. So then my wife took her test strips she uses to test her blood sugar to test her soda (diabetics will tell you how they check) and sure enough it was normal so she traded. So overall a good place but I think the service could use work. A retired coworker goes there every other Wednesday and I started meeting him occasionally. Service is better for regulars. It's just that I wish the service was great for everyone. Not just the regulars. One final things to point out is that I've been going here for years and the quality of the food has deteriorated a bit . I would tell people to go here to get the best burger ever, and now it's a little better then just ok. And the wings are not good. I still go there every two weeks or so to see my coworker, just wish it were like the old Lewis's."
