"I thought corporate chains couldn't have bad food. Boy was I wrong. Pei Wei is absolutely disgusting in 2024. What happened? My wife and I both got chicken dishes for a date night and it was overly sweet/tangy on a bed of noodles/rice which were completely bland. A bit of a old oil taste to it too. Idk. No redeeming qualities in texture. Restaurant was empty, which is why I gave a 2 star atmosphere score but honestly that should have been a warning. I give 5 stars for service because an employee somehow noticed we weren't enjoying our food (we were sitting outside and around a corner). She tried to make it better with free Rangoons even though we were being polite and not outright saying how we felt (I think she knows). The rangoons were also gross hahaha. Oh well. $34 waste is not the worst thing in the world. I told her thanks for the Rangoons and left. DO NOT EAT HERE Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2"

I got the honey chicken which I have eaten a hundred times over the past ten years. This last time I went they gave me popcorn chicken with honey sauce that was cold and soggy?

Why did you switch to nasty, spongy, processed chicken nuggets over diced and battered chicken breast? I got the honey chicken and threw the whole thing away. I want real chicken like I used to get. If I wanted bad chicken nuggets, I would have gone to McDonald's. What would possess Pei Wei to do this?

Sadly, the place is not what it used to be. Prices are up which is to be expected but the quality is down. The orange chicken was always my go to meal here but they changed the chicken to small round nuggets. I won't be going back ever again. Also, people don't want to eat out of plastic containers. No silverware anymore either. View menu

I like sweet n sour, but it 's no longer offered. I tried honey seared on the advice of the hostess. If I order well done it comes out much hotter. (But it cant be as hot as I 'd like since they now use plastic containers for serving. It was good but not as good as the former sweet/sour chicken. Thus the 4 stars. To get five it would need to come streaming hot like before and with hot s&s sauce. Still good, worth two meals for me. I 'll be back.

We used to visit this restaurant regularly, but it’s been over a year since our last visit. We decided to try other Chinese restaurants in the area, as there are so many to choose from. However, they sent us a Bogo coupon, which was hard to resist. We opted for curbside pickup, but unfortunately, our order was 15 minutes late, despite scheduling it in advance. It wasn’t a huge issue, though. The food was decent, but not exceptional. I just remembered it being much more flavorful in the past when it was our favorite spot. View menu

Pei Wei used to be my absolute favorite place for Chinese food, but that's no longer the case. The quality of the food has dropped significantly; what used to be a 10 has now turned into a 2. The chicken now seems to be dark meat, and the flavor just isn't the same. The most disappointing part is the chicken's texture and taste, which I now find unappealing. I dined at the Pei Wei in Queen Creek over a week ago, and today I tried the location at Val Vista and Baseline, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, it didn't improve. I’m officially done with Pei Wei.

I hadn't visited this restaurant in a while, and now I remember why! The food was disappointing. The chicken and rice tasted old, and the rice was crunchy, which was not appetizing at all. The floors and tables were dirty, too. It's surprising how difficult it seems to prepare prepackaged food that’s been in the freezer for six months. We paid with cash and had a good laugh when the girl taking our order struggled to give us the correct change. She accidentally entered the $50 bill but forgot to account for the dime, so we ended up receiving 90 cents back. At this rate, it seems like the restaurant won't be in business for much longer.
