"When we first entered, the smell was so unpleasant that I wanted to leave right away, but we were hungry and this was the only Mexican restaurant in town. The cleanliness was concerning; I noticed a dead bug near our table and the condiments. The rice was clumpy and tasted old, while my husband found his food to be very bland. My steak taco was also lacking in flavor, except for the steak itself, which was the only redeeming element. On a positive note, the service was excellent; the staff was very attentive. Unfortunately, I would not return. I dislike leaving negative reviews, but I felt it was necessary in this case."

Always a great experience! We are only in the area a couple times a year but they are welcoming of us each time!

Food was awesome! Waitress was checking on and giving great customer service. There is a large variety of dishes to choice from and they are large portions.

Great dining experience! This restaurant is a hidden gem in St. James, MN. My wife and I found it by accident and we were very pleased we decided to go there. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was authentic Mexican. The prices are reasonable and the portions are very substantial. Very highly recommend! View menu

The food is usually fantastic. However, there was an issue when I ordered and clearly requested no cheese due to a food allergy—they still added cheese to my meal. Additionally, some items I asked for were missing from my takeout order. It took me two calls to explain the situation before I was told to come pick up a remade order, which was quite inconvenient and disrupted my plans. Aside from this experience, the food is generally excellent.

We stopped in shortly after they opened on a Monday. We were the second party in the restaurant. (2 in our party) The waitress took our order and per the usual, our order came out quickly. I got the lunch serving of fajitas. Not much flavor, and half way into my first fajita, there was something odd in my mouth. It was a piece of plastic wrap. I recieved an apology after I pointed it out, but that was all. My boyfriend had a steak burrito which also was lacking in flavor and the onions and peppers that the menu claimed it would be loaded with. Very disappointed.

"2.5 rounded up because I 'm feeling generous. We had a 545 reservation, we were five minutes late so we checked in at 550, we also apologized for being a bit late, we were then told to sit and wait, that 's fine. About 7 couples/groups came in after us and were immediately taken to a table since they knew the owner. My boyfriend and I got our 545 table at 625. AFTER, multiple other couples who came in after us got seated. So not a great start at all. The food wasn 't great. It really wasn 't. Our waiter was fantastic and very attentive but food was severely lacking. The arancini were flavorless and the marina sauce tasted very sugary. Similar to Applebees or chilis. The main course was alright. I had the cavatappi escarole with chicken. I should have had it without the chicken as it was a little dry and again not as flavorful as the broth itself. Which I must say was delicious. Overall it was a disappointing Valentine 's Day dinner. We were overlooked, multiple times, the food wasn 't great, and on a personal note it was just way too loud for me. My pros were our amazing waiter, my glass of Riesling, and the bread. You can 't not love bread. I don 't see myself going back to ragazzi on my own. After last night, it 's left a pretty sour taste in my mouth. All I can say is make sure you have a reservation, and make sure you know the owners because even with your reservation you 'll be waiting 20 plus minutes."
