"This is one of the few places in town still open for the season, so by the time we arrived for a late lunch, we would have settled for anything—even toasted cardboard! What a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The hot crab dip appetizer was absolutely delicious. My husband, a wing enthusiast, didn’t find the wings particularly impressive. However, he adored the parmesan truffle fries and wished he had opted for those along with two Sutton lobster rolls—until he saw the bill, but hey, it’s vacation! I ordered the fish and chips with rosemary fries, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I usually don’t like tartar sauce, but theirs had a wonderful dill flavor that really complemented the meal. I washed it down with a draft Allagash White. I would definitely return and order the same meal again."

"I had the chance to try one of their lobster rolls before the season ended, and it was absolutely delicious! We shared a footlong roll and sampled both styles: mayo-based and butter-based. The butter-based version was definitely tastier and more flavorful. Although it was quite expensive, the sandwich was packed with generous pieces of lobster meat. However, considering it was a shack/food truck and there was only one outhouse that didn’t even have a handwashing station or any hand sanitizer available, I was a bit surprised by how pricey our meal turned out to be. For just one full lobster roll, two drinks, and a side of sweet potato fries, the bill came close to $80…"

"Everyone said that this was THE place to get a lobster in the Acadia area and I thought, this being my first time in Maine, I needed to give lobster a try. The restaurant is set up differently than a traditional restaurant. You order at the front and then go to a table where your food is brought out to you. They do have a small 4 seat bar inside as well. We waited in line about a half an hour outside before ordering. The staff was very friendly. It was a busy Saturday night and we got some quick instructions on how to go up to the second floor dining area instead of the screened in area downstairs. After a small amount of confusion we found the spot and were seated. There is no table service so we were left to wait for our food which came in about 15 minutes. When the food came out it was hot. I got the garlic lobster role and my companion got a smaller 1.5lb full lobster. We also got corn on the cob and cornbread. I can't say that I tasted any garlic on my roll...but it seemed like a traditional roll. The corn had a lot of silk still attached but was cooked perfectly and the cornbread was ok but a little dry. My friends lobster was presented well and pre cut so that the meat was more accessible. It seemed like it was cooked well. I can't say that I've had a lot of experience with lobster before. I grew up spending summers on the eastern shore of Maryland having Chesapeake bay crab so I'm not new to shellfish and... I think I just don't like lobster. Overall it seems like an experience that many people enjoy and we are glad that we tried lobster at such a highly regarded place."

"We stopped here between 4 and 5 when places are often between lunch and evening service. Everyone was friendly and we had a great meal. We sat at the available tables outside. The food was great. We made three more trips inside for various delicious desserts and coffee and more treats because we loved the food so much. Would recommend if you are in the area."

"We had a wonderful dining experience last week. The food was amazing, expertly prepared, and the portion sizes were just right. We both started with the Acorn Fed Prosciutto appetizer, which had a delicious flavor with hints of nuttiness from the acorns. We both agreed that the Lobster and Asparagus Risotto for our main course was exceptional, especially when paired with a fine Sauvignon Blanc. The Raspberry Sorbet served to cleanse the palate was incredibly refreshing with a pure raspberry taste. We finished our meal with excellent coffee. The staff was friendly and contributed to a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you to Chef James and the rest of the staff for a fantastic meal."
