"My girlfriend and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time today and had a terrible experience. For starters when we walked in it was very smokey inside (they may need to invest in a better ventilation system). The price for the tacos was a bit steep especially since they were nothing special and had no flavor, we had to add the green salsa to make them have any taste. We ordered an appetizer that came at the same time as our meals and it ended up having a hair in it. I will say the staff was very apologetic but the mood for eating was destroyed now feeling like we had to be extra vigilante scanning for more hair. Now, about 3 hours later, my gf and I both feel we may have food poisoning and have thrown up since eating that meal and nothing else."

Yeah these tacos are off the chain. The Asada fries are highly recommend. Will not be disappointed with them. And if you?re craving dessert try the strawberry ???? churro alamode ????????????????????????????????

Went here by myself for dinner while visiting the area. Had carne asada burrito which was possibly the best burrito I've ever had. The meat was seasoned and cooked very well, and large portion of meat. I'm glad I didn't order anything else! It was a clean place and the service was fast. Would definitely recommend! View menu

Went in after lunch and ordered the California burrito. My burrito had a small amount of carne asada, unmelted cheese, soggy fries, and the main ingredient I tasted was flour tortilla. What a disappointment. Many reviews on here say this place is the best, I just don't see how. Some reviews are bad. The food is inconsistent so your results may vary.

Overcharged for mediocre food. 3 plates, 2 drinks an extra little cup of guacamole and they charge $1 for an extra tortilla...and to top it off they also charge you to use your debit card, an extra $3. All just to make a buck. TOTAL WAS $70. I'll definitely wait for FILIBERTO'S to open up on Airway. Better food and prices. No more Rivas Taco!!! FILIBERTO'S hurry up and open. Here we come.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in El Paso! Food is amazing, their breakfast burritos, asada fries and tacos taste delicious, freshly made, the meat tastes perfect and not to mention their different flavored aguas frescas! Staff is always checking on you and making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your food. Thank you Rivas taco shop it’s always a good experience when we eat here! Keep up the awesome work! Looking at the photos I am very jealous. Half of the tacos I ordered are missing. The beans are so watery I could drink them. All the salsa is mostly water. I am very disappointed as I have wanted to eat here for a very long time. Definitely not returning. If I wanted to eat this much water I would have just poured me a cup of ice cold water here at home. Thanks for the water guys! I work very hard and I don’t eat out often. This is extraordinarily disappointing.

The service was good, but the food didn't meet my expectations. I ordered the 915 fries, and at $15, they definitely fell short. I understand that they're attempting to replicate the sauce and presentation from Chicos Tacos, but instead, they ended up being a soggy mess. I would have preferred crispy fries instead. My wife got the Philly cheese fries, which were much better. If I return, I would avoid anything heavily sauced. The chile sauces also lacked spiciness, which would have improved the experience.

"We began with Baked Escargot in Herbed Citrus Parmesan Butter—an exquisite dish in which the desire to savor every drop of the butter was undeniable. The Grilled Octopus with Cilantro Chimichurri was expertly spiced, leaving a lasting impression of refined flavors. The Central Caesar Salad, uniquely presented for communal sharing, was notable for its rich Anchovy Emulsion. The Cream of Green Chile Soup was a revelation; its creamy texture and depth of flavor were so captivating that they prompted a moment of culinary reflection. However, the Seared Diver Scallops, though well-executed, did not resonate as strongly with me; I had a less than favorable reception of the broccoli puree. In contrast, the Lobster Agnolotti was satisfactorily balanced and flavorful with its delicate pasta and butter-poached lobster claw submerged in a creamy lobster broth. The Honey Lavender Long Island Duck was another course that showcased the fusing of sweet and savory nuances. The undeniable highlight of the meal was the Ribeye Prime, a masterful display of flavor infusion, complemented by Chipotle Lime Butter and enhanced by the textural contrast of crispy onion strings. We concluded on a celebratory note with a Dessert Platter for my husband’s birthday. This thoughtful gesture included an array of desserts from Petite Crème Brulée to a Mexican Chocolate Tart, each a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to a memorable dining experience. However, it is imperative to note that the ambiance was somewhat marred by the overly loud piano and live singing. While the music itself was beautifully rendered, its volume was disproportionate to the dining setting, complicating conversational flow and detracting from the overall enjoyment."
