"We had stopped coming to this place last year because the food quality had declined but decided today to give another try based on recent reviews. The good news is the food is good again! Bad news is the service is still terrible. The servers are young and inexperienced which isn't their fault, of course. It is evident that the management has put zero into training in the basics, however. We waited 30 minutes with empty glasses of water after placing our order. Literally had to grab the server as he was chatting up another table to remind him we had ordered wine. I was brought the wrong entree which prompted a conversation by two servers looming on each side of me about what to do while someone else's entree cooled in front of me. Asked for a to go box which was plopped unceremoniously on the table. Pro tip; servers should take the remainder to the kitchen and pack your to go container. While fumbling with the to go, I accidentally knocked over and shattered the empty wine glass (no offer ever to refill during the meal) no one, including hosts or servers present, offered to help as I picked up glass shards from the table and floor. Everyone kept their gaze firmly on the floor in front of their feet. Finally, as we left with my elderly mother and another patron using a walker in front of us, not one single employee thought to get the door for us much less thank us for our business. The kitchen is still super slow. Our Cheeseburger was good but not cooked to the requested temperature. The place is way too noisy for comfort. Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible"

Excellent staff and menu, however for some reason it was rather warm. Didn't ask, just acclimated. The food and service is what you look for and expect. Kudos Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 View menu

Wonderful menu. Fabulous service. I had their version of tater tots creamy inside with horseradish sauce. Heaven. I had one sweet potato biscuit with ham. Heaven. Then duck confit frisse salad. Heaven. Hidden gem. Reasonable prices for the area. I will come again. Also had chocolate mousse. Wonderful Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 View menu

Highly recommend the brunch here! The bacon is ON POINT or lit as the cool kids say these days. It is perfectly crispy and they give you four slices with the American breakfast option. The coffee is delicious. The eggs Benedict were perfectly poached. The prices were spot on. The service was excellent. I will be back. Save me some bacon! Thanks to my co-diner Sabrena for snapping the pic of me! Service: Dine in

I want to love this place! It's cute, nice neighborhood spot, seems to be small business y with involved ownership, and the food is good but the service was honestly so bad and the table seated very very closely beside us had every aspect of their order screwed up and the patrons were (understandably annoyed so the who atmosphere was bad. Additionally, it was general lacking in cleanliness was an issue ubiquitous stickiness, the dessert menu was stained and ripped (so gross! and while eating, an employee came and sprayed lysol on the table beside us, not 2ft from my plate. I would certainly check reviews for notes of improvement but until I see those, I won't be back.

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."
