"This place is off the beaten path, we found them by looking them up on this app. The inside wasn't fancy, just like we like it, we tend to eat at places with good reviews, and laid back environments, this fits the bill. The staff was superbly friendly, even helped my wife with the shirts they had, which by the way, love the logo on the back. Now onto the food, my wife had the spicy lobster roll, and I had the lobster roll with butter. We are no Mainer, but I've had at least 20 lobster rolls in the last 5 years, and these are by far the best. Thank you to the team at the Lobster Haul for not treating us like some kind of tourist, even though we are from Texas. When we come back to visit again, we will definitely make a trip to them."

"I ate here three years ago. The lobster roll was great 3 years ago. It was so terrible this past September that I could not eat it and returned it. They are using Hamburger rolls which are as dry as can be. BUT the lobster was tasteless, dry and rubbery. You could not chew it as it would not break apart. The young waitress just shook her shoulders when I told her. Another waiter said they would charge me 1/2 price for the inedible lobster roll. I mentioned this to my daughter who had been there in August and she had the same experience. I just had lunch with a girlfriend who I suggested Shuck station when she was in Maine also in September and she said her lobster roll was so terrible she didn't try another during her visit. Hers was also dry and rubbery. They are overpriced by $10 so go elsewhere."

"We visit often and enjoy the food. We were there on the night the fix priced menu was being served. I ordered my appetizer and then went on to order my main course. The server interrupted and said What wine do you want with the appetizer, I 'm not a mind reader . It was downhill after that. She brought the wrong wine for my main course. Then failed to bring the mulled cider for the dessert course. When we pointed it out, she said we were not getting any drink with the dessert. We insisted and she checked the menu and eventually brought it to the table. She was young and may not have the best service skills. But her mind reading remark was rude and set the tone for a not so great evening out. More training of servers please. "Had a lovely time here while on vacation recently! Being pregnant and predominantly pescatarian, I was comforted by the several options available suitable for pregnant women. That said, the restaurant was out of at least one option I was interested in (the mushroom app), and I learned I couldn’t eat the cheeses featured in the dishes as they’re unpasteurized. If I weren’t pregnant, I know I would have loved to have had the cheese!!! Looked amazing. The chef was accommodating towards my situation and left the cheese out of the tomato salad that came with my salmon, so I was really grateful for that. The shining star of the evening was my zero proof cocktail The Layover. Hands down, the best NA cocktail I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried MANY). It had dimension, flavor, and most importantly, it had BITE. That’s so hard to find in a zero proof cocktail. So thank you thank you thank you for making an amazing option for those who can’t imbibe! I also tried the Ravenscourt Park mocktail but it didn’t hold a candle to The Layover. Second shining star of the night was the soup of the day which was banana pepper! I was skeptical, but man in was tasty. It was buttery, rich, and had a bright pepper taste. So fantastic. The rest of the table enjoyed the swordfish belly special, and everyone thought the smash burger was delicious. Highly recommend and will go back!"
