"as a native we wanted to try saffire as it is near the ballpark and it will be a favorable location for dinner and drinks before or after the river Dogs games. we three enjoyed our meal times. two of us chose from the restaurant weekly menu and the third from the daily menu. They were all delicious spinat salad, oyster rockefeller, garnel, groupers and steak frites with a poched pears and crème brûlée dessert. the waiting staff was pleasant and efficient. the room was what one would expect from a hotel restaurant. it was beautifully decorated, but during the busy times I think it could be loud as the pool is just outside the doors."

Good hotel restaurant. They had no record of an Open Table reservation but were able to accomodate us.

No need for a reservation. Restaurant is within a hotel. Our party of 8 was told to order from the bar as there was no wait staff

I stay regularly in the hotel. it is very disappointing that the menu is limited and offers only few gluten-free or other diet retriction options. View menu

our server, tina, let us be so welcome in charleston and made our Christmas meal so pleasant! she gave us a list of funny things to do in the city and made sure we had everything we needed. the meal was excellent from beginning to end, especially the pork!

lwir have booked saffire for Christmas dinner. eating was very good and the worth great for a first-class rib dinner. Unfortunately, the advertising and website said that they were closed for the day, so we enjoyed a very quiet meal with three other people.

We arrived 10’mins early and hostess was unfriendly and looked overworked. Advised we could not get breakfast at 1115 even though website and reservation indicated until 12.. all the empty tables were filled with dirty dishes.. we left as it was already a bad experience View menu

The shrimp and grits was not good. The sausage was tough and overcooked and the dish had too little grits and too much sauce. The hamburger was excellent. The fries were served hot. I ordered a cup of soup that was on the all you can eat buffet and was charged 5.00 for it. I think that is ridiculous. The server made no offer to make changes.

Two tables in the entire restaurant and we were pressured to order immediately and everything came at the same time. We ordered an appetizer to share, salads, and entrees. Everything came at the same time. We were staying in the hotel and thought this would be a nice option at the end of our weekend. My crab cake was inedible, it was a scoop of mush that wasn't even warm. For three people the bill was over $200 and we didn't have wine or cocktails. We explained that the crab cake was inedible, but they charged us for it anyway. The hotel was amazing, the restaurant not good at all.

"I just have one word that describes my experience here. WOW It was an absolute experience coming here. We were in town for my birthday and decided to eat here for my bday dinner/last night in Charleston. The vibe and atmosphere were classy, fun, and calming. They have a main bar area where you can grab a drink while you wait for a table and can be quite lively later in the evening. The dining rooms are towards the back, a lot quieter and more intimate so has a flavor for whatever you are into. The service was absolutely perfect. Our server (I wish I would have gotten her name she served our party of two at 10pm on Saturday 8/17) was so insanely friendly and personable. She knew her stuff and then some when it came to presenting the menu, but also would come chat with us and give us tips and recs for Charleston as she knew we were from out of town. They also gave us a free cheesecake and glasses of champagne on the house for our celebration. Just overall made us feel incredibly special and welcomed (we don't normally eat at places like this lol). The food, omg.....I am not overstating or being hyperbolic.......this was hands down without a doubt the greatest steak I have ever had in my life. Nothing even comes close. I had the Dry Aged Ribeye, and it has completely ruined steak for me because nothing will ever be that good. My girlfriend got the Filet, and it was in the same ballpark. Just legendary. We also got a side of the lobster Mac Cheese and it was fluffy with a perfect crust on top. Amazing flavor and texture. If you ever have the opportunity to dine, do yourself a favor and go. This was one of the best dinner experiences I have ever had. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience to the wait staff, the chef, servers, everyone there played a part and gave me a memory I will hold onto forever. Thank you!!"
