"We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by excellent host service—super friendly and personable. However, after we were seated, we waited nearly eight minutes for someone to approach us. When a server finally came, we ordered a starter that turned out to be extremely overpriced and not flavorful at all. Fifteen minutes later, the same server returned to take our dinner order. Unfortunately, the sashimi was not fresh, the rolls seemed pre-packaged and wrapped in plastic, and even the tempura was overcooked and disappointing. It was clear that the food had been prepared ahead of time. To make matters worse, despite there being at least four servers on duty, we only saw ours twice, and on a busy Saturday night, there were numerous empty tables and no patrons at the bar. Most other restaurants in Walnut Creek are fully booked on Saturday nights or have two-hour waitlists. Sadly, I don’t think this place will survive, which is unfortunate because the decor and ambiance were lovely."

Gyoza was amazing, sashimi was fresh, the rolls we ordered weren’t that excellent. Lobster roll was okay. The broadway roll the crab meat in it wasnt fresh. The server was extremely nice to use. Ambience was great

The experience was enjoyable, and the uni was outstanding from the start! However, they need to have a full staff. On the night we visited, they were under-staffed, and the manager was quite strict in ensuring that all tables were taken care of. Despite that, we didn't experience any delays in service. It could be a great place to hang out if they had a full team. The prices were reasonable for us, but I can see why younger patrons in their 50s might appreciate it as well. View menu

Slow service event though restaurant less than 50% full. Drinks came out long after we were done with our appetizers. Ordered draft beer, waiter brought bottled beer, without checking with the table if we preferred an alternative. Main course took 45 min. after appetizers to be server. The main dishes (simple salmon Nigri) for one party (of 4 persons) at our table came out 20 min after after we were all done with our dinner, even though we repeatedly reminded and complained to the waiter. Rolls were over-spicy and not great. Poor offerings of sushi rolls. Too expensive for the poor quality, poor service. Would not recommend.
