"I always enjoy visiting Gandhi Cafe and have been coming here for years. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the restaurant is filled with heartwarming aromas and good energy. It's hard to put into words, but while it might seem like a typical eatery at first glance, the unique combination of these elements makes this place truly special. I'm so glad they are still operating, and I hope that both the community and NYC will continue to appreciate this wonderful spot."

The restaurant presents itself online as a lively, colorful Indian restaurant. In fact it is a dreary, whitewashed narrow and dark space with no charm. The food is just plain awful. The rice was so dry it was almost crunchy and the sauces were flavorless. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Casual sit down spot. Food was hit or miss (lentil dish was great but the naan bread was more like a dense pizza crust?! . Waited a full hour and still didn’t have our appetizers or entrees. Had to practically stand in front of someone to get service. This was my first visit and I won’t be back.
