"My gf and I just ate at this restaurant and the customer service we received from Silvia was lackluster at best. The moment we walked in her energy wasn’t inviting and she was the greeter. Once my gf received her salad she noticed the amount of fish she received was smaller than usual. We’ve eaten here plenty of times, so she brought it up to our waiter who relayed the message to his manager Silvia. Silvia came out to address our concern, but my gf felt as if Silvia was brushing her off and didn’t seem to care about what she had to say. I watched this lady’s body language and her facial expression the entire time and I interpreted it as “you can hurry up now because I really don’t care”. We were not rude even after she acted insensitive and insincere. I ended up speaking to her one on one to voice my concern, but she only deflected by saying “I’m sorry she felt this way.” Based on the reviews I just read, my observation of this lady was correct. I’m a military veteran who happen to be Black. My gf is also Black and she gives so much back to Decatur and the kids as a boxing instructor. I cannot imply she’s racist, but I’ve read several reviews by previous Black customers that stated she came off as racist. I will no longer support this business."

"This place may not be ideal for those who are uncomfortable in non-vegetarian restaurants. There is a long list of meat sandwiches served. Still, the quality and selection of vegan desserts were amazing. There is a dessert case devoted exclusively to vegan cakes (about 6-8 choices), and I found it hard to choose. I went with the raspberry chocolate mousse cake, and was glad I did. It's shocking that a place that's not exclusively vegan can do such a great job; the cake was fresh, light, smooth, and perfect. It had no overly sugary or fatty taste or texture, as some novice attempts at vegan desserts tend to have. I've never had a better vegan dessert in any bakery or restaurant, after fifteen years of being vegan. For an entree of sorts, the only real option is the hummus and veggie sandwich (called Eat Your Veggies), which good and served on excellent, fresh bread, although for non-vegans there is a veggie cheeseburger."

"This is such a chic spot with many seafood options set in a remodeled older house in Decatur. Very upscale, gourmet options and the price tag that fits it. They have lots of oyster options (raw, grilled, etc), beef tartare which was raved about but we didn't get, snapper tartare (essentially snapper sushi with yummy citrus? Sauce and micro green/kumquat citrus topping), amongst other yummy starters. The cocktails are delish! My partner got the whiskey smash which springy didn't taste like whiskey but instead more of a guava tasting tropical drink (yummy)! We got the grilled oysters and snapper tartare for apps and enjoyed both of them. Next time, I'd want to try the beef tartare but the grilled oysters were excellent. I got the Mezzaluna (mushroom half moon ravioli) surrounded with many, different maroons and a wine tasting mushroom sauce. Definitely get only if you love mushrooms, because there are many! It was yummy but id probably choose the Snapper entree item in the future. The snapper entree was perfectly cooked and tender, very well seasoned with melt in your mouth creamy risotto excellent. Parking is on the street, a very small lot (full), or a parking garage which you must pay ahead for. It was an elevated dining experience that I will come back for a fancy/celebratory dinner option!"

"I dined with my friend because she suggested this place. Overall I wasn't disappointed because the area is very nice, the inside is very clean and the display of some deserts are very nice. I ordered the chicken salad wrap and the construction of the wrap made it difficult to eat appropriately. There was entirely too much lettuce and not much of anything else I had to unwrap the wrap in order to eat because it kept falling apart because of the lettuce. I felt like I was eating a regular salad with chicken salad added. The chicken salad consistency was fine but there should be some type dipping sauce on the side as an option. The onion rings were my side dish and they were delicious! I also took home a club sandwich, it was absolutely huge and delicious. I had to save the other half for the next day I will be back but next I'll order something else instead of the chicken salad wrap. My server was incredibly busy but very professional and knowledgeable of the menu. I forgot his name but, he's very tall, light skinned with a beard. Thanks for making my reunion with my friend very pleasant"
