"I can't believe a place like this exists! They are open 24 hours a day and their donuts are only $1. But that's not all, they also serve delicious food cooked on a skillet like chopped cheese, Philly cheese steak, burgers, breakfast, pancakes, and tacos. The donuts are light and tasty, I'm almost embarrassed by how often I've been going there in the past week. I may need to start going to the gym soon. The food is cheap, but it's prepared by two very talented men. I've been there at 1am and also during breakfast hours, and these guys are quick and make everything taste amazing. The strawberry glazed, coconut glazed, crullers, apple filled, Jelly, and chocolate frosted donuts are probably the best ones. I almost don't want to leave this review, but I have to because for just $7 you can get a BEC on a roll, 2 donuts, and a coffee. It's unbelievable."

The guy was super helpful and patient while I was trying to pick out donuts. I’m a bit indecisive so it took me a couple of minutes to figure out which donuts to get! ?

Properly made Pom Poms (cream or jelly), amazing krispy marble crullers and a perfect cup of regular coffee. What else could you possibly need ? This is a truly great old school donut shop!

This charming old-fashioned lunch counter is a hidden gem. Open 24 hours a day, the prices are very affordable, the service is quick and friendly, and the food is delicious. The portions may not be massive, but they're not small either. And at just $5 each, why not just get two servings?

I can only speak about the donuts from here. Someone bought a box to a party I was at. They are insanely delicious ! Had a jelly frosted doughnuts with tons of jelly. I hate the donut shop that are cheap with the filling. This shop is not cheap with the jelly. Also had a apple filled donuts. I highly recommend this donut Shoppe if you are around the area , stop in View menu

This greasy spoon coffee shop is awesome. Fresh delicious doughnuts all day long. Counter service for short order plates of freshly made food. Shaikh's can't be beat. In a world where long standing diners are closing because nobody wants to pay $20 for breakfast, this place stands strong! Pay no mind to the haters complaining about rude service... THIS PLACE IS BROOKLYN!

No matter week day it is or time of day, I WILL ALWAYS BE SATISFIED WITH THEIR FOOD. And my favorite times here are after a long night out and its super late, nothing open or good to eat..but this place will serve you breakfast, lunch or dinner anytime of day. My is always the basic 3 scrambled eggs with bacon, home toast, and home fries. Too it off some tea and their freshly made donut.Theres no better way to end your night or even better start another again for round 2 :

Imagine you are coming home from a night out with friends and you're coming out the train hungry. I went the Shaikh's place at midnight and ordered a Quesadilla with pork(the have other options as well) took 7-10 minutes to get come to plate and would have to say it's really good. I have had their tacos as well and that's great too for a well established price.Often when I want something sweet I would choose here. Get a few donuts and we are good to go. No pictures for now but will follow up with some. View menu

Unfortunately, my recent experience at this restaurant was disappointing. While they offer delicious food at a reasonable price, the service I received during my visit in the early afternoon was unacceptable. The older Spanish man with glasses working at the counter was extremely disrespectful, the rudest person I have ever encountered. Despite this, I will still return to the restaurant late at night, as the younger gentleman working then was always polite. The late-night atmosphere, with its colorful patrons and occasional shenanigans, is a stark contrast to the earlier visit.

The reason for 1 star is the EXTREMELY RUDE MEXICAN MAN at the counter and just as RUDE MEXICAN WOMAN. The donuts are delicious and it’s my second time going there. When I walked in, he was being very rude to an African American man. He can hardly speak English but was rude and abrupt with me as well. He said if I can’t speak English, he will say it in Spanish. The first visit, it was the woman working the counter. They are both stinking rude and this place will lose a lot of business if they don’t fire these 2. I would like to write to the owner of this fine establishment. I’m a retired Police Officer and have never treated people this rude. We are paying customers and not criminals in the...

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
