"Tried the North Shore Beef sandwich at this Cambridge location as someone who's familiar with the original North Shore versions. While it's a decent option if you're craving this style of sandwich and can't make it to the coast, it doesn't quite capture the authentic experience. The flavors are there, but something about the execution whether it's the bread, the seasoning, or the overall preparation falls short of what you'd get at the original spots. It's serviceable if you're in the area and have the craving, but manages to be just okay rather than memorable. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3"

Excellent roast beef sandwich. Enormous quantities of fries. Ambiance is a little bit loud with the TV and kitchen chatter.

I visited Boston for the first time, and Skampa welcomed me warmly! The roast beef sandwich was incredible, and the French fries were cooked to perfection! View menu

This restaurant is a hidden gem for salads; the almond arugula salad is loaded with fresh vegetables, and the other options feature delightful baby greens. Their roast beef sandwiches are amazing as well.

The pizza was delicious, with plenty of cheese and just the right thickness. The cheese sticks were incredibly cheesy and perfectly crunchy. This was my first time dining here, and I was really pleased with the flavors of the food.

Skampa is one of the best roast beef and sub shops I’ve ever been to. The food is amazing and consistent (something that is very important in a restaurant) and the prices are very cheap. Plentiful servings make for a great lunch or dinner; I would recommend their roast beef dinner, all of this was only $8.50. Definitely check them out! View menu

Neighborhood gem that I’m resistant to giving it anymore attention. Surprisingly good good for such a small, unassuming place. Personally the eggplant calzone and the Greek salad with a twist are my go to’s. Their house dressing is on point. Skampa became my neighborhood spot when I first moved to Boston, forever will appreciate the place

Had the Roast Beef Dinner. RB sandwich, three ways wrapped separately and a whole dinner box full of fries and onion rings. All freshly made. Roast beef was thinly sliced, rare and tender. Fresh roll with just the right amount of sweetness. Fries and onion rings looked and tasted made in the kitchen. Friendly service was another plus. This place was recommended by others and glad I tried it.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
