I think this might be the best place for god food and great selection of craft beer anywhere in Sanford. I?ve only been here a few times, but every time I come, the food is great and the staff are always friendly. The restaurant is clean and I don?t have any complaints. I look forward to coming back next year when I?m in town again.

Had lunch with some coworkers at Smoke and Barrel. I had a salad with added grilled chicken it was good. The vinaigrette dressing was tangy without being too sour and sweet without being cloying. My coworkers were impressed at the number of whiskey and bourbon offerings on the wall behind the bar. Definitely not your typical bar with bar food since amazingly, they don't offer any fried foods.

This was my first visit to this chic, revitalized vintage building in New York style, and it makes me wish I lived in Sanford! The service was fantastic, the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. The food was excellent, especially the beef brisket which was very flavorful. However, it seemed like my waitress didn't check on us as often as she should have. The atmosphere was lively, with live entertainment provided by a female solo artist. For dinner, the price per person ranged from $10 to $20. We asked to speak with a manager, and the waitress indicated it was the bartender. We observed them speaking several times while glancing our way, but he never came over. After waiting for 30 minutes, I grew tired of waiting. When we finally approached him, he claimed it wasn't busy at all. He insisted he wasn’t the manager and had no control over the kitchen, stating he was just a bartender. I’ve experienced far better food and service from my local McDonald's.

We dined here early on Friday evening and found the service to be commendable—quick, friendly, and precise. This was the main reason for awarding a second star. Unfortunately, the food we ordered left much to be desired. The Reuben sandwich and sides were just average, nothing to write home about. The brisket, however, was quite disappointing; it was excessively fatty, and the bark was so tough that it couldn’t be cut with a knife. Additionally, it lacked flavor. Typically, I order brisket whenever it's on the menu, so I was especially let down. This might be the worst brisket I’ve ever had, and I don’t plan on returning to this restaurant.

This place has a fantastic atmosphere. When my friends and I arrived, we were told to find a seat and chose a cozy booth. Right from the beginning, we could tell it was a great spot to hang out. I ordered a flight of local beers to sample, and we shared a delicious charcuterie board. For dinner, I had a brisket sandwich, which could have used a bit more meat, but it was flavorful and tender. The service was quick and friendly; our server, Bri, was excellent even though she seemed to be managing all the tables. We got everything we needed without delay.
