"Very good food but the service was terrible. My husband and I went to dinner a few months ago and our waitress and service was a disappointment. We wanted to give the restaurant a second chance as we have heard great things so we came back 8/26/23 and unfortunately got the same waitress. We showed up for a early dinner (5pm) so it was not busy. The waitress forgot our drinks at first so we had to wait longer for them (no big deal), then when we ordered our food she completely did not listen to what we ordered and wrote down the wrong thing. Our food came out and we said oh this is not what we ordered and she comes over and says Well, what do you THINK you ordered . As someone who has worked in food service, the way she spoke to us is not acceptable. Especially for a restaurant where the meals are $40-$65 each. Half way through our dinner our drinks were empty and she never asked if we wanted refills, we finally asked and she never brought us our drinks. We finished eating and just told her to forget about it as we were ready to go. Again, she only had 3-4 tables of 2.. not busy, but apparently she cannot multitask. Very disappointed and will probably not return after giving them 2 chances."

"I found this little spot last Autumn, one of the hardest times to start a small restaurant in a small town that relies quite a bit on tourist traffic. Then comes covid and the accompanying restrictions on locals and tourists. That they have survived all this is a great blessing. I love supporting Mama Wing. The food is FRESH and TASTY. If there's something you'd like but you don't see it on the menu, if they have the ingredients they'll probably make it for you. Two hard-ass working and extremely kind women who love dogs and appreciate the hell out of their customers. They don't take for granted the people who keep them in business and I don't take for granted all they offer. I just love this place. Parking is easy. There's outside seating. The prices are super fair. Your tummy will be full and warm."

""We recently moved from Oklahoma and are excited to explore all the local restaurants. While we usually go to Dad’s and Wheelhouse, tonight we searched for 'cheeseburgers' and ended up at Vagabond. Let me tell you, this is now our go-to spot for burgers and chicken! The service was quick and friendly, despite my desire to try ALL the sauces. And the food? Amazing! The chicken tenders I ordered were generous and fresh, with enormous patties. The Garlic Parmesan fries were unique, and I don’t think I can go back to regular fries after trying those. I also loved the atmosphere; it’s casual enough for my teenager, yet also perfect for a date night at the bar. I highly recommend it—10/10! We’ll definitely be returning this weekend! "So glad we made the walk to Union Tavern after a night at the Majestic Inn. We didn't want a menu full of friedness, weren't in the mood for Mexican (a rarity for us), and were looking for fresh oysters which surprisingly we couldn't find anywhere without heading to the chain restaurant nearby. Union Tavern didn't necessarily have the fresh oysters we were hoping for but had oyster shooters which were close enough! We walked into a busy outdoor patio, a few tables of 2-4 inside, and a few sprinkled bartop. Rachel the bartender was running an amazing one woman show with style and grace! We ordered a Wander Raspberry Sour and a hand crafted spicy margarita, both were the refreshments we needed stepping in from a hot day. First round of shooters were impressively stocked with diced cucumbers, capers and a little heavy on the cocktail sauce, but still good. Second round we ordered minus the cocktail sauce and used the first servings left overs. We also ordered the meatloaf burger, sooooo much better than it sounds, and a seafood chowder. Everything was delicious! Bathrooms were clean, ambiance was comfortable with soft string lights throughout. Great spot for a TON on tap, from ciders, sours to, IPAs and then some. "I made a trip from Oak Harbor to Anacortes specifically to eat at Dad 's Diner because I mentioned going to Anacortes to get some lunch somewhere and the person I was talking with enthusiastically suggested I try Dad 's. So, I decided to give it a try and was very happy I did so. There is a real diner feel to the atmosphere, complete with counter seating and chalkboard menu. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The pulled pork sandwich was suggested during the conversation about going to Dad 's, but after reading the menu I decided on the Cuban sandwich because I really like those sandwiches. This Cuban was a little different because the meat was chopped and mixed with a tasty sauce. I still thought it was very good and didn 't have any issues with it. The sandwich included jo-jos (some call the potato logs) that were coated in a rub. I thought they were cooked to perfection and tasted great. I am a fan of spicy food and couldn 't resist trying the house hot sauce that they call Badassco Hot Sauce . I asked the server about the sauce and was told there are two versions. One is hotter than the other. I tried the hottest version that included Scorpion peppers in the ingredients. It was very spicy indeed!!"
