"My favorite catfish place in the whole Corinth/Pickwick area. I use to come here years ago when the original owners had it. When it closed, it was a sad day. The new owners bought it from the family of the original, kept all the same recipes, and added a few special touches. First, the covered patio. It 's spacious, open, has fans for warmer weather; it 's perfect on a cooler summer night. Secondly, the smoked catfish. It 's excellent. Now, I know most folks (myself included) are coming for fried catfish, but having tried it, I can say it is definitely worth a try. Tons of flavor, and probably (definitely) healthier than a plate of fried fillets. On our first return here after new ownership, my wife and I split that and a plate of filets just to, you know, balance it out. It was a great choice. The fried catfish is some of the best, if not the best, in the entire Corinth/Pickwick area, and it 's usually less crowded than, say, the Catfish Hotel. They start everything off with baskets of fresh hush puppies and fried okra, which adds bonus points. The hush puppies are fluffy, flavorful, and--unlike many hush puppies--moist and not too dense. A good dose of black pepper and onions, too, which I like. Service is relatively fast, and the owner is a really nice guy and great conversationalist. If you get the chance to meet him, ask him to tell the history of the place and how he came to be the new owner. It 's fascinating. In short, The Catfish Farm has always been at the top of my list of catfish joints. After the new ownership took over, it 's even better and should provide a staple stopover for the most discerning of catfish joint connoisseurs. I can 't recommend it enough."
