"Staff and team are very friendly here. I thought the food prices were a little high, but it could very well be supply chain issues for the area. There was also a little confusion on what Vegetable Tempura was as someone at my table ordered that and was brought a sweet potato sushi roll. All in all, it's a quaint restaurant with friendly team. Unfortunately, I didnt get any pics tho . Bathroom:. There's a Women's single bathroom in the restaurant. Then for the Men, you have to exit the back door into the building the restaurant is housed in and there are two unisex single bathrooms there that are available."

Fresh seafood, a bit pricey, edamame was over steamed, but we enjoyed immensely, and we will be back when budget allows, lol!

I've been a regular at Sushi De Kanpai since I relocated to Salisbury in 2011! I've celebrated numerous birthdays and created countless memorable moments there. The food is consistently fresh, and the service is excellent!

I finally got the chance to visit this restaurant, and it was definitely worth it! I ordered a bento box, and it was amazing! The waitress was excellent, and the rest of the staff were wonderful too. This place is truly a hidden gem in the Plaza! View menu

I recommend arriving early to secure a table. We always order the Udon Temple, which is fantastic. The sushi is also excellent. In the picture, you can see six beautiful nigiri pieces arranged on a plate. It's definitely the way to go when you're in the area.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was very impressed. The establishment is well-maintained, and the food was outstanding. Our waitress, Karley, was fantastic and maintained a positive attitude despite being busy with many tables. She provided excellent service to everyone. I will definitely be returning!

We had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. The waiter, Tony, seemed overly focused on my girlfriend throughout our visit, which made things uncomfortable. We waited 45 minutes for our food, despite the fact that there were only three other tables being served. Overall, I would rate the service and atmosphere as a 1 out of 5. View menu

We were in the area for an event and wanted sushi for dinner. After some searching on Google Maps, we chose this spot. It’s small-ish. maybe 15 tables plus sushi bar and regular bar seating. Our server, Tony, was very professional and gave great service overall. DEFINITELY get the tuna tostada for an app! It was fresh and spicy and delicious. We ordered sushi, the star of which was the Hawaiian roll. I love sushi, and that might be my favorite roll EVER. This will absolutely be in our rotation from here on out.

I haven't dined in at the restaurant, so I can't comment on the service. However, I've ordered takeout several times and found the food to be outstanding—probably some of the best sushi and sashimi within a 50-mile radius. Their sushi is expertly crafted, unique, and delicious. I appreciate that many specialty rolls come with their own dipping sauces. The only downside is that it's a popular spot, and they open at 5 PM. My last sushi order took two hours to be prepared. While this wasn't a problem for me, it might be an issue for others, so it's best to plan accordingly.

"Never have I ever spent over $1,000 at a place that treated me with such disrespect and distaste. If I could give this place zero stars, then I would. What started out as a beautiful night with Senior Staff at Livingstone College surprising my father for his birthday (we made reservations two weeks in advance) quickly turned out to be a nightmare. We ordered several appetizers, steak, ribeye, prime rib, lobster— just to name a few. We barely were able to enjoy our dessert after feeling rushed. It didn’t stop there, unfortunately. “Somehow” the lights were “accidentally” cut off while we were sitting in there. The owner claims a customer turned off the lights and he immediately turned them on. I can confirm that was one of many lies. As an Attorney, I noticed this was an immediate liability. If someone slipped and fell in the dark, I can guarantee this would be a different claim. However, it was interesting to me that the lights in the bar area where other patrons were seated at the bar having drinks remained on in the next room over. The owner claimed we stayed at the restaurant “well past an hour after closing” despite no one saying anything— even when we booked the reservation. I guess there’s no reason to say anything when your actions can be worth 1000 words. However, we began to get up IN THE DARK and head towards the front door. The lights did not come back on while we were inside the building. I know this because the owner— who never identified himself nor apologized, brought the card outside because we left it due to the darkness. After hearing one of the senior staff members called the owner today expressing her dissatisfaction, I was informed the owner hung up on her. In my attempt to express my dissatisfaction with the owner, he continued to gaslight me and tell me I was threatening him and harassing him with phone calls. He failed to acknowledge the situation and apologize. Instead, he immediately became defensive and said “what else do y’all want me to do?” I told him this was unacceptable, and he proceeded to tell me that calling him was unacceptable. I am disgusted by the service at this restaurant and the lack of accountability following the incident. I promised him as long as there is breath in my body I will never eat here. There are plenty of other steakhouses and places that will gladly allow you to spend $1,000+ and allow people to feel WELCOME. I wonder whether the story would be different if other College Presidents similarly situated and their families would be treated the same way. I don’t have to worry about my treatment or my loved ones treatment here because I can promise we will never return."
