"Everything we tasted was fresh and incredibly delicious. As someone from the Midwest with Southwest roots, I have specific expectations for "Midwestern Mexican" cuisine. It's not bad, just different from what I'm used to. At Gorditas 2 Go, I thoroughly enjoyed my beef flautas; they truly brought me back home. My husband, who is also from the Southwest, felt the same way about his smothered burrito. The rice and beans were outstanding—much better than what you generally find. Even though my husband typically doesn't like rice, he really enjoyed the rice at Gorditas 2 Go. The fresh guacamole had none of that processed aftertaste; it was a generous serving made with freshly smashed avocado, diced tomatoes, and jalapeños."
