"So tired of them being cheap with salsa or not including it at all. We have ordered let 's say 100 times from them in the past years, and it 's always aggravating. We left a note tonight saying don 't include the side salad, but please may we have some extra salsa. They left the salads off (we are now paying full price for less, fine! , but included ZERO salsas. That means they read the notes, and decided to only follow part of it. What kind of mexican restaurant doesn 't provide salsa? Happens all the time with taco max. Food is solid, fries are surprisingly great, and I love our local businesses, but I can 't in good conscience recommend them. Look, I 'd be happy to _pay_ for the salsa, but it 's not on the menu. To boot, when I 've bought the chips and pico de gallo, they won 't put any complimentary salsa in the bag usually, so I can 't have the varieties just the pico. Makes my wife and I super bummed out because for as sturdy as the food is, it 's always missing something. So close, but for such great potential, they leave is hanging."

It was really great! Prices tend to be on the higher side in the city, especially for someone like me coming from a Midwest ranch. But I love it here, as always!

The generous portion of Lechon Encelbollado is welll seasoned, but not spicy. Their pico de gallo is always fresh! Chips and guac is good, Fast delivery for Saturday delivery. Great value meals.

Love their food. Cost is reasonable. Employees are courteous and explain anything on the menu if you ask. Restaurant and the facilities are clean. Close to my house. I love to go there.Food: 5/5 View menu

I ordered takeout and the experience was quite positive. The food was delicious and served in generous portions. The customer service was commendable, and the prices were reasonable. However, the parking situation is not ideal, and the indoor seating is quite limited.

This makes me sad because I’ve been a big fan of Taco Max for a few years now. Their prices have pushed them into the not worth it range, the burrito is good but not worth the 11.99 they’re charging. By comparison in the same neighborhood you can get a comparable burrito for 7.99. For that reason I’m fading Taco Max. If it were just food in the equation they’d be higher View menu

Came here one day after work and just order a lot of different tacos and was happy with the size and taste of each. Service was great. But what I could not get over was how tasty and flavorable the ribeye taco was! That is one of the best tacos I have ever had. Period! That taco is worth a special trip. And trust me, because I 've been... All Around the World song by Lisa Stansfield...for tacos.

The Veggie options here are the flavorfullest in the neighborhood! I love the inclusion of grilled onions and spinach. Everything is usually fresh and the salsas are a great accompaniment. Sometimes I think the staff is maybe stoned because the food gets a little sloppy. Today the wrap on the burrito was pretty loose, half the tortilla was soggy, and there was a hunk of something burnt and meaty in my veggie burrito (boo!! not fun for a vegetarian) and I didn't enjoy those features at all. but I still ate the whole damn burrito because it was compelling in other delectable ways. It overall feels like happy people make the food, but they don't really give a hoot about the details.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
