"On a Saturday afternoon, we stumbled upon Taverna di Bacco. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the ideal Italian bistro. We started with a shared eggplant parm, followed by a delightful bowl of homemade pasta carbonara for my main course. It was excellent, prepared in the traditional Italian style with egg. We ordered two glasses of white wine, but they were out of our selection, so they opened a different bottle for us. It was fresh and lovely. Overall, it was a relaxing experience."

Wonderful meal, ambiance and service. My family and I are longtime fans of Maurizio’s cuisine and enjoy each opportunity to dine at Taverna di Bacco.

overpriced, food was bland. no red sauce for the eggplant parmesan or the chicken parmesan. the salad had almost nothing in it and it was 14 dollars.

We recently enjoyed a fantastic meal at this restaurant! The service was exceptional, and the food was top-notch. Both the interior and exterior are much more appealing than the photos imply. The prices were reasonable too. Food: 5/5.

We were pleasantly surprised by our last-minute dinner reservation on a rainy night. The hostess was very welcoming, and the pasta was perfection. It's rare to find pasta this good outside of Italy, but the Cacio e Pepe here was truly memorable!

We had over 20 people for a special occasion, and everything was perfect! The owner, chef, and staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. They ensured we arrived at our event on time. The food was absolutely fantastic! We are so thankful and grateful that we chose Taverna Di Bacco! View menu

We ordered the $75 5-course chefs tasting menu, and 1 appetizer. All of the items were very good, but the portions were exceptionally small. There was not even any bread offered at the table as is common with most Italian places. Two dinners, a bottle of wine, and $300 later, we left hungry.Food: 5/5

Weird atmosphere—smelled a bit icky, not well decorated, had no ambiance. Guests seemed like tourists who had randomly wandered in, not people who had purposely chosen this place for its great food. That said, the food was totally fine (we only had pasta and a side vegetable), although nothing special whatsoever. There are too many great restaurants in NYC to ever go here again.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
