"Upon entering the store I was hit with this stale old smell and there is nobody there to greet. Immediately noticing how deserted the place is, I see a server sitting down and upon noticing me, she instructs me to sit anywhere. I asked for orange juice, and was brought out a small glass of watered down concentrate orange juice, it had this sweet taste to it, I barely drank any of it. The server was polite enough, not friendly but this is not unusual for the service industry in Edmonton. After reviewing the menu, the prices were pretty standard for casual breakfast, between $10-$15 for breakfast meals, there were not many options, just your standard eggs & sausage meal and omelette options. No french toast, no pancakes, I gather this isn't much of a breakfast place to begin with. Upon ordering, I received my food quite quickly, considering I was the only one in the place ordering a meal this didn't surprise me. The food itself came out warm, eggs were good as was the toast. It was a hearty serving of food. Unfortunately, the hash browns were repulsive, it was almost as if they cooked the hash browns, then soaked them in grease before serving them, they were mushy and the sheer thought of them makes my stomach churn as I write this. The sausages were standard, nothing special, I only had one of them. I noticed the clientele coming into the restaurant was made up of older men in their 50s and up, I suspect this is more of mature pub then a place to get a decent meal, I know that now more than before. I should have gotten the message when I walked in, the place being deserted, to walk back out as that in itself was not a good sign especially when there were other restaurants I had walked by with quite a few patrons. I did provide a basic 15% tip when I paid for the meal, it came to a total of $17 (with tip). I could have paid the same at a chain restaurant like Dennys or Ricky's and received a more pleasurable meal. I would not recommend this place to anyone, if you are in the area, go elsewhere, don't be lured in by the charm of supporting an independent local eatery. I went in, open-minded hoping for good comfort food, and I left disappointed and underwhelmed. Steer clear."

Had Lasagna. It was very good. My wife had Rib Eye steak. She was very pleased with it as well.. Our server was very attentive, she recommended to try their famous Flapper pie! Delicious and light dessert

Fabric on the walls, big bench seats, curios here and there...an odd little spot with some flare. The food was abundant and really good. The drinks were good. The server was warm, honest and engaging. He gave great recommendations. The desserts are home-made and delicious. We loved it.

Many years ago when living in Edmonton we went to Teddy's for special occasions because of the excellent quality meals. This visit was a major disappointment. We were the only ones in the dining room. Service was slow and not attentive. Meal was mediocre and not at all what we had hoped for. On our way home we passed two restaurants we should have chosen. We had lunch on a recent Thursday and were looking forward to a really good sandwich. Teddy's has been in Edmonton for many years, and had a reputation for great sandwiches. I ordered a corned beef sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The meat was warm, but the bread was cold and stale. Fries were good, coleslaw just OK. My husband's Reuben was OK, but not great. Very ordinary for $13+ per sandwich. We are unlikely to return.

I've ordered from here through Skip The Dishes twice in the last couple of months - reuben sandwich with potato salad both times, with the addition of an apple pie the second time. The food was very tasty, the portions more than ample, and the prices fair. I know this restaurant has had a bad reputation, and I cannot comment on the rest of the menu or the place itself, but what I've had has been very good and I will order from them again.

Teddy's is very nice and cozy restaurant in downtown of Edmonton. We go there once in a while with my husband. I've never thought to leave a review, but the last experience was outstanding! My husband ordered Beef Stir fry on rice and I had their special- RibEye Steak with scallops. The food was delicious, steak was properly done, and scallops were tender. Also, we had Calamari for appetizer. Their served it with spicy chipotle sauce. Our server was very knowledgeable and polite... Overall we had great experience. Well done Teddy's! View menu

I was in Edmonton for a Dr. Appointment and took my sister out to lunch. I hadn't been to Teddy's for over 20 years but my fond memories of their delicious corn beef sandwiches and flapper pie jumped out to me as we passed the establishment on Jasper Avenue. I had the corn beef sandwich and my sister had the beef dip. Both were tasty but the portion size and noticeably shrunk but the price had really gone up for what you got. We shared a piece of flapper pie which was very good. With tip our bill came to well over $50 .....a bit pricey for two sandwiches. The other impression we got was that the main emphasis appeared to be towards the bar and VLT's rather than the great restaurant this use...

We love the fact Teddy's has great breakfast, service and free parking downtown.Interior décor still the same, dark with lots of wood and VLTs, not for families as it is technically a licensed lounge even in the dining area kids are not welcomed, strange.Noticed menu was smaller which is fine but the breakfast selection was cut back to few lines on one corner of the new menu and thankfully they kept the corned beef hash, our fave there.Arrived and the potatoes were so pale in color and the portions smaller, I got tomato slices in lieu of bread which made me happy. The texture, smell, flavor of everything were not what we had previously experiences. The slices of tomatoes were gross, cold/fro...
