"The Bay House has lost its magic. Every year, since The Bay House opened, we would have the most spectacular dinner, in such a lovely, cozy, and charming environment. The food, service, and view we’re always spectacular. We recently went to their new location at Salishan and quickly realized it had lost all of its charm. It’s the exact opposite of what it used to be. It’s dark, the tables are spread out in the middle with only a few booths off to the side, making it feel more like a cafeteria. The overly loud music was more roadhouse than the elegant jazz they used play. The wine list came out in a dollar store 3 ring binder. When we we were brought the menu, we were “invited” to order 3 items a starter, a salad, and a main. We are a family of very light eaters and always split a meal as normally it is just too much food. When we placed our order to split a steak main course and a halibut main course (between 3 of us) our waitress said she would have to ask the manager. To her credit, she was LOVELY and apologetic and gave us excellent customer service. She was just bound by these new and ridiculous rules. The 2 stars are not a reflection of her service, but rather the entire experience. As we waited for their decision on how we should eat, we decided that perhaps we should just drink our wine and go elsewhere. This was already not a great experience. I checked the website before writing this review to see if I had just missed the mention that you HAD to order 3 things and I did not. The menu literally says A La Carte. The manager came over and we let him know we were going to leave. His reaction was one of clear frustration with us and he said something to the effect of, “You’re leaving before we even had a chance to see if we could accommodate you.”. At this point, there were just too many marks against and we wanted to eat somewhere that was not going to dictate how much we had to eat or order. Fantastic experience. The location at the resort was very nice. Lovely staff and the host/owner Stephen is delightful. Dinner was amazing and worth a bit of a splurge. Happy to have celebrated our anniversary here.

I have never experienced such poor value for the price at a restaurant. The manager did nothing to address our cold and tasteless steaks. We will not be returning. The service was average, the atmosphere was nice, but for over $100 per person, the food was disappointing. This was a dinner meal.

We did a 5 course tasting with wine pairing, every course was fabulous and cooked to perfection. The wines that were served complimented our food so well. The staff including owner Steve worked hard to ensure that this experience was enjoyable, comfortable and exquisitely delicious. I would recommend this restaurant, we had an amazing experience. Such a delight to find this caliber of fine dining in a resort. A lovely room with a view of the coastal forest holds just the right amount of tables. Wait staff Mark and Steve were top notch, very welcoming and professional. Options are a 3, 4 or 5 course tasting menu. Interesting and creative items to choose from. It was a great experience from beginning to end and Mark made one of the best Old Fashions I've ever had. We hope to come back some day.

An amazing dining experience. Perfect for a romantic evening. My wife and I just celebrated our one year anniversary here and couldn't have been happier. Food was delicious, and our server was great. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves fine dining. MAKE A RESERVATION! My wife and I came here a year ago and was turned away because they were full for the night. Definitely returning to this gem. We chose Bay House at the last minute and didn’t have reservations. They were so gracious to take us and give us a great table. To say the experience was divine is an understatement. They put celebration confetti on our table since it was our 2nd anniversary. I tasted two wines before deciding all with a smile from our quiet and graceful waiter. The bread was warm sourdough with pink salt. The date raclette appetizer was sweet and savory and the pasta with Marsala broth danced on your tongue.
